[page 4] Errata in this Karg-Elert etude: m. 11 - fourth note is E-natural; m. 33 - fourth note is a D-natural; 4. Choose and perform any ONE excerpt from the orchestral excerpts included on pages 5-9 of this packet. Please choose the excerpt which you feel best highlights your skills as a performer. You should not feel any pressure or expectation to perform music more difficult than your comfort level. Note: The etudes listed above have been selected as the 2019-2020 TMEA All-State audition etudes and can be found in the The Mary Karen Clardy Flute Etudes Book (Schott). Music Minors and Non-Music Majors Depending upon your background, experience, and comfort level, you may choose between the following two options: 1. Follow the guidelines for Music Majors, as printed above. OR 2. Perform one or two etude(s) or solo excerpt(s) of your choice. You may opt to perform something you may have worked on in the past, or you may feel free to use one of the etudes/excerpts on pages 2-9 of this packet.
