We are very proud to announce that we have now shipped over 1,000 WaveShaper® instru- ments to customers all over the world. Since its introduction in 2009, the WaveShaper family of Programmable Optical Processors has established itself as the pre-eminent tool for programmable optical filtering and switch- ing in R&D and production test environments. WaveShaper 1000/SP for 1 µm Pulse Shaping now shipping Finisar has started shipments of the 1 µm wavelength version of the WaveShaper 1000/SP. This test instrument has been well received by researchers and developers working on fem- tosecond and sub-20-picosecond pulsed fiber lasers. The pulse shaping operation of the device has been demonstrated in Finisar’s pulse shaping video which can be accessed on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpRYsc30dOc WaveManager Software Version 2.7.3 Released The WaveManager software version 2.7.3 has been released and is available for download from https://www.finisar.com/sites/default/files/resources/wavemanagersetup.2.7.3.exe. This package includes the full Fourier Processor (Multicasting) capabilities also for the WaveShaper 16000S (in addition to the 4000S). It also includes bug fixes and minor improvements. This package has been fully tested for operation under Windows 10. WAVEANALYZER 1500S OPTICAL SPECTRUM ANALYZER Finisar has upgraded the WaveAnalyzer 1500S with a number of improvements in the software and in the firmware package. Version 1.6 of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) WaveAnalyzer package and version 1.01 of the Firmware package have been released and are available for download. These packages provide a number of improvements: Triggered Measurements for recirculating loop experiments The WaveAnalyzer now fully supports triggered measurements using either the Application Programming Interface (API) or using the GUI package. These trig- gered measurements enable, for exam- ple, spectral measurements on recirculat- ing loops. The fast sampling rate of about 200 MHz (5 µs per sampling point) enable mea- surements on even very short loops, like 2 to 3 kms. Synchronization is achieved using a TTL trigger signal into the WaveAnalyzer. RESTful control interface The WaveAnalyzer has been upgraded with a RESTful services API supporting remote control of measurements purely using http commands. The integrated webserver ensures platform independent control and operation of the WaveAnalyzer. neW dual-band high-Speed phOtOreceiver fOr micrOWave phOtOnicS

We are pleased to announce the release of the LPRV2300 dual band photoreceiver - the first product in a new series of linear, low-noise photoreceivers for microwave photonics. the optical component is the industry's first high bandwidth linear receiver designed to offer DC coupled response. the DC response uniquely positions the LPRV for use in a variety of applications including test and measurement, microwave photonics, instrumentation and laboratory research.

Finisar is pushing the envelope on commercially avail-able photoreceivers. this new product offers a fre-quency range of DC to 35 GHz, a highly linear tIA (trans Impedance Amplifier) guaranteeing a flat frequency response and signal amplification with industry leading low-noise performance. It includes a unique DC coupling feature and dual band responsivity in the 1310 and 1550 nm wavelength bands.

the receiver's amplified optical detection coupled with low-noise performance will enable an entirely new generation of instrumentation in the test and measurement field, specifically in manufacturing test markets. In addition, the receiver can become an enabling component in lab experiments and R&D environments, as well as in future microwave photonics applica-tions.

oFC 2016Finisar will exhibit at oFC 2016 and product demonstrations will include the following:

• the Waveshaper 16000s will demonstrate Multicasting with up to 16 ports as well as filtering and mux/demux applications.
