Client: Booking.comProject: New Office, Bristol

Booking.com engaged Integral Build to fit out their new centralBristol office. The scope was for a high design and modern feelthat serves all the staffs needs.

The office will accommodate staff on bench desking as well ashaving meeting suites for dealing with hoteliers and holding videoconferencing.

Client: Booking.comProject: New Office, Bristol

The fit out included a large amount of bespoke joinery includingbanquette seating, store wall, worktops and coat cupboard.

Breakout areas and Ad Hoc meeting spaces are extremelyimportant to Booking.com who put comfortable workingenvironments as a top priority.

The office includes many references to the South West and variousdigital wall prints as selected by staff and managers.

The flooring consists of digital printed Forbo ‘Flotex’ to walkwaysand the ‘Clifton’ meeting room, which has pebbles to match thesea view on the wall. In the Breakout spaces and Welcome spacewe installed Chateaux Box rustic laminate flooring.

Client: Booking.comProject: New Office, Bristol

All three meeting rooms are acoustic rated ‘Planet 20’ glazedpartition system, with full height vinyl wrapped doors.

Each room has individual controls for air conditioning and lightinglux levels to suit their needs.

The comms and store rooms were formed from fully fired ratedstud partition with FD30 door sets.

Amongst the feature lighting scheme were Jam Jar cluster lightfittings made from ‘Kilner’ jars, pendant light fittings and drumlighting to the breakout space.

Glass back printed splash back in the kitchen features photographyfrom a local Bristol photographer.

We cannot forget to mention the fantastic pool table with itsbespoke top fabric giving it an edgy look!

Client: Cover Construction Co. Ltd / Airbus MilitaryProject: Airbus Military Headquarters, Oxfordshire

Airbus Military were looking to relocate operations to the RAFBrize Norton locality. The new office is set up to facilitate the saleof the new A400M military aircraft.

Integral Build were appointed Principal Contractor for fitting outthe new offices to serve as Airbus Military Headquarters, fromwhich the client will be selling their new military aircraft (TheA400M) to air forces throughout the world.

Our end Client has chosen the location strategically as it is locatedopposite RAF Brize Norton (Oxfordshire) where the display planeswill be housed in an Airbus Military hanger.

Client: Cover Construction Co. Ltd / Airbus MilitaryProject: Airbus Military Headquarters, Oxfordshire

The new building is a grade A fit out with high specificationthroughout, which features cellular offices, open plan office,meeting rooms, a conference/ client suite, secure frame room, labspace, secure copy room, staff shower, kitchen, WCs, Client WCs.

Integral Build have taken the building from a shell and fitted thefloors out. The installation includes lining all block work, new blockwork, timber stud and glazed partitions with interstitial blinds,Leaderflush doors with wrapped frames, a complex ceiling systemof suspended rafts, MF bulkheads and borders to work withservices and the varying ceiling heights.

The design includes an atrium extension, fully fitted out by IntegralBuild with features such as bespoke stainless steel balustrade overthe voids leading to a glass lift which descends into a ceramic tilelobby entered into through automatic circular doors.

Client: Cover Construction Co. Ltd / Airbus MilitaryProject: Airbus Military Headquarters, Oxfordshire

Our works included a complex, as well as compact, mechanicaland electrical installation. The building is served by a 3 pipe VRVsystem to provide heating and cooling, each room/ area hasindividual control to allow workers to adjust their environmentsaccordingly ‐ a number of the staff are native to the warmerclimate of Spain! The lighting includes use of recessed LEDtechnology, halo lighting within bulkheads and LG7 fittings withinsuspended ceiling grid.

We have installed a new kitchen which is complete with a Staronacrylic worktop ‐ a commercial alternative to Granite that hasexcellent durability for the workplace as well the 'high end' feelour client desired.

The building features a conference suite where visitors can betaken into more detail about their purchase in complete privacy.Windows are concealed and soundproofing installed 'above allpartitions'. The client has the high amount of IT/ Datarequirement, full access control/ security systems, CCTV andmonitoring.

In order to deliver this project we have worked closely with theLead Designer for Airbus 'Studio LIME', the Airbus Military team(UK & Madrid) and Cover Construction Company Ltd.

Client: Eurest / GE CapitalProject: Aztec West

GE’s Aztec West office is one the fastest growing in The UK. As aresult of this the Oil & Gas division required a large number of newoffices and desk space for the new starters and other staff re‐locating.

The works were carried out with the client in occupation and assuch, much of the works were carried out at night and atweekends. Strict processes were in place to ensure that the officeswere clean and dust free for the next shift.

Works involved high specification double glazed partitions withassociated mechanical and electrical alterations as well as asubstantial amount of manifestation and graphics to ensure thenew offices were on brand with GE.

Client: 14Forty / GE CapitalProject: Oil & Gas Offices, Bristol

GE’s Aztec West office is one the fastest growing in The UK. As aresult of this the Oil & Gas division required a large number of newoffices and desk space for the new starters and other staff re‐locating.

The works were carried out with the client in occupation and assuch, much of the works were carried out at night and atweekends. Strict processes were in place to ensure that the officeswere clean and dust free for the next shift.

Works involved high specification double glazed partitions,acoustic solid stud partition systems with associated mechanicaland electrical alterations as well as a substantial amount ofmanifestation and graphics to ensure the new offices were onbrand with GE Capital globally.

These new offices ‘all’ have wall talker paint on one wall so theindividuals can plan or mind map.

Our client required quiet rooms for staff to utilise. The individualsare communicating via a number of media and needed suitablespace.

The brief was simple – A functional new Bristol Office. Toprovide a modern suitable space for professionals to work, ameeting area for clients and comfortable facilities for thestaff.

Client: EddisonsProject: The Pithay, Bristol

Our client Eddisons are a leading firm of Chartered Surveyorsoperating from ten offices across the UK and Ireland. Theywere looking to relocate from another Bristol city centreoffice to a more suitable building which met the needs oftheir business.

They required a seamless transition between buildings dueto the nature of their 24hr operations and ensuring theirclients were not affected by the works taking place. This wasachieved through a tight programme and working closelywith the building management of Alder King as well as ourmaintenance team who service the building.

Client: EddisonsProject: The Pithay, Bristol

The boardroom was linked into the existing buildingmanagement system which ensures ventilation requirementsare met. Audio visual equipment by way of videoconferencing and screen was installed with associated powersupplies. Complete with black out blinds for whenpresentations are underway.

Client: Lafarge Project: Gordano House, Portishead

Our client Lafarge was founded in 1987 and has its principalmanufacturing facility on the outskirts of Bristol. Lafarge's Bristolfacility is amongst the most technically advanced drywallproduction units in the world and has the capacity to supply inexcess of 50 million square metres of plasterboard each year.

As part of Lafarge's on going expansion and development the HeadOffice in Gordano House required a make over to provide muchneeded and upgraded office accommodation for the ExecutiveTeam. This included Jean‐Michel Desmoutier the CEO and theMain Board.

Client: LafargeProject: Gordano House, Portishead

We were appointed as Main Contractor after a lengthy tenderprocess. The team then worked closely with Design at Work toensure the strict programme and budget were adhered to.

The works on site involved a full strip out and the construction ofhigh specification glazed and solid partition cellular offices andmeeting rooms (utilising Lafarge materials), with a full mechanicaland electrical installation that included full air conditioningcontrols to each office.

GE Capital, Aztec WestClient: PhoenixProject: Lakeside House ,Northampton

Our client was relocating to new offices (8,000 sq ft) and required afit out of the new space to suit their growing requirements.

Phoenix are one of the UK’s leading providers of hosting, Cloud,managed IT services and business continuity. They have beendelivering such services and technology to UK businesses since1979.

The work was phased and included a full mechanical, electrical anddata upgrade to existing systems in place. We refurbished theoffice space, a meeting suite and training wing and provided twonew kitchen/ break out areas for staff.

Work was carried out with our on‐site Integral UK maintenanceteam who control the BMS system and carried out works to theexisting fire alarms and access control systems.

Client: Capita SymondsProject: Office Refurbishment, Portishead

Capita Symonds are one the UK's largest, multi‐discipline consultancies delivering property and infrastructure projects on a local, nationaland international scale.

When the Portishead office required refurbishing they approached Burtt‐Jones & Brewer, a leading strategic design consultancy whospecialise in creative interiors solutions to maximise the use of any space. They aim to increase wellbeing, productivity and improvebusiness efficiency.

All they needed then was a fit out company to undertake the work! By working closely with Burtt‐Jones & Brewer and Furniture 23 IntegralBuild were able to deliver a really fast track solution in a live environment that met everyone's expectations. The works consisted of newflooring, electrical alterations, re‐decorations, floor box moves data moves, new partitioning and a very small element of bespoke joinery.

Client: Fusion LifestyleProject: Tottenham Green Leisure Centre

Fusion Lifestyle are a highly experienced sports and leisuremanagement organisation, working in partnership with localauthorities, schools, colleges, as well as other public sectororganisations, to provide recreational sport, health and fitnessactivities to local communities. They are a registered charity,which means that all their incoming resources are used to improveand develop their facilities and activities.

The £7.0m refurbishment project at Tottenham Green LeisureCentre in North London included the sports hall, three pools andwet and dry changing. New aerobics, cardio theatre and fitnesssuites on the first floor completed the works. Detailed planningand phasing ensured that the centre stayed operationalthroughout the entire project.

As part of Integral Build’s scope we undertook to install arelaxation suite which includes a large 20 person sauna, a steamroom, rainbow showers and an infinity ice bath facility.

The area is also equipped with heated tiled seating around with aglazed viewing panel overlooking the main pool.

The ‘wet change’ area was completely demolished and re‐built ,including new underground drainage and ground floor slab. Thefacility includes installation of new lockers, a new cubicle system,upgraded vanity units with integrated hair drying facility., familychanging facilities and team changing facilities.

Elsewhere in the dry change we installed new walnut finishlockers, glazed wall showers as well as upgraded drying facilities aswith the wet change.

As part of the ongoing programme of development Integral Buildwere engaged to carry out a large scale refurbishment and fit outat Braintree Leisure Centre in Essex.

Logistics: With the centre being attached to the local secondaryschool the logistics of the site were particularly challenging withregard to programme and day to day deliveries. Whilst at thesame time ensuring that the leisure centre was kept fullyoperational during the 15 week project, this was achieved via amultiple phase programme and the introduction of temporaryscreens and hoardings to ensure site works and members werekept safely apart.

The works in involved an enlarged modern hi‐tec gymincorporating functional fitness and free weights area, animproved and upgraded first floor studio, a new spin studio, crèchearea, upgraded changing facilities across the centre includingupgraded mechanical and electrical installations. A new foodservery was constructed & installed to allow the supply of lightmeals during functions. A new swipe card entrance door accesssystem was installed for better control/segregation of the Schoolpupils during School hours.

Client: Fusion LifestyleProject: Braintree Leisure Centre

Integral Build’s on site Project Manager worked closely with centreand school management to ensure no works interfered with theongoing operations in the centre and the school, this wassuccessfully achieved with handover taking place as planned at theend of the school holidays.

“From the outset it was obvious that the Project Manager and team were on top of everything on site. They managed the work well, particularly since works had to take into account school hours and with people there. They were fantastic at keeping contractors ‘at bay’ with a wholly appropriate stern approach. I was impressed with his management of the team. At completion works still require a few snagging issues to be completed but I am very happy with the facility. All snags were dealt with very promptly. The Project Manager was brilliant.– he saw the whole thing from the client’s point of view and this is to be commended.  

I’ve worked in the leisure sector for many years and if there was another centre requiring work similar to this I would certainly recommend the Integral Build team. Good job done. “

Client: AMT CoffeeProject: London Heathrow Departures

AMT Coffee are the founders and leaders of gourmet take‐awaycoffee in the UK and were the first UK coffee company to go 100%Fair‐trade with coffee and 100% organic with their milk. AMT'saward winning coffee is individually made for each and everycustomer from coffee bars located at stations and airports aroundthe UK. AMT's premier outlet is at Heathrow's Terminal 3, whereIntegral Build completed a total re‐fit.

Client: AMT CoffeeProject: London Heathrow Departures

Time really was of the essence on this project as the shop could only be closed for4 weeks so Integral Builds' programme had to ensure all trades worked closelytogether on what was a very tight site, made all the more difficult due to theconstraints placed upon the project by Heathrow Airport Holdings ( formally BAA).

Only by working very closely with the landlords to ensure all procedures werefollowed did Integral deliver the project on time. The works involved a total stripout back to a bare shell and then a full re‐fit including new counters, LED lightfeatures, specialist plastering, re‐claimed oak fittings, air con, ceilings, flooring,furniture and all other fixtures. The concept of the new outlet was to create freshnew and modern face of AMT, and LHR T3 was the forerunner of all future AMT's.

Client: Dyson LtdProject: : Dyson 6 Conversion and Fit‐out

Dyson Ltd is a British technology company that designs andmanufactures vacuum cleaners, hand dryers, bladeless fans, andheaters. It sells machines in over 70 countries and employs morethan 4,000 people worldwide.

The facilities at the Dyson site in Malmesbury, Wiltshire aredesigned to support the research and development of consumerelectronic goods. Business growth has driven the requirement forexpansion of the research and development (R&D) operations intobuilding D6 at the site. D6 had been used as warehousing spacefor some time and as a result had limited services and no heating.

Client brief: The re‐modelling of Dyson 6 to convert the existingwarehouse into laboratories and workshop space for use by theDyson Research and Development Department.

Each building supports a combination of office space,development laboratories, test chambers and workshops.

Client: Dyson LtdProject: : Dyson 6 Conversion and Fit‐out

Each building supports a combination of office space,development laboratories, test chambers and workshops.

Works: Integral Build carried out the D6 conversion works with thesurrounding and connecting buildings in full occupation. Nodisruption to business activity was allowed and staff access andsafety was of paramount importance.

The works commenced with the installation of a large steel framedmezzanine floor which was then fitted out, top and bottom withworkspace/assembly areas, offices, laboratories, test rooms andresearch centre.

The works involved the complete installation of all mechanical andelectrical services to serve the newly created rooms and areas. Keyservices installed included lighting, heating, ventilation, airconditioning, compressed air, power supplies, dust, fumes andheat extraction, water supplies, drainage and fire suppression andlift installation.

Client: National GridProject: Control Room Kitchen

This project was carried out by Integral Build over a three weekprogramme. It was logistically challenging due to a location withinthe live 24hr environment of National Grids main UK control room.The control room itself had to remain operational for the durationof the project with temporary welfare facilities provided.

Our focus was to provide a functional yet comfortable space forthe control room staff whilst ensuring a Zero tolerance Health andsafety policy was adhered to. The space gives five separate teamstheir own storage spaces as they cook in shifts and shareresponsibilities for making refreshments. The nature of their workdictates that most of the time is spent at their work stations withina secure environment.

National Grid – Control Room Kitchen

Client: National GridProject: Control Room Kitchen

Powder coated stainless steel units throughout, Low Iron glasssplash backs, magnetic & dry wipe back printed glass noticeboards, as well as acrylic solid worktops for durability. Newtechnology was used with LED modular panel lighting technology,energy efficient LED strip and integrated appliances andconvenience functions such as a Zip Tap and roll out recyclingsystems.

From the outset, we worked very closely with the National Gridteam based on site to deliver a solution tailored and fine tuned tomeet their requirements and wish List! The knowledge of thefacility from our Integral UK site based engineers and managersensured any service or access requirements were organised withminimal disruption to the client.

We introduced subtle colour to the kitchen through wall artfeaturing their winning design for a new pylon (below) and takingthe main ‘Picasso’ grid and using back printed vinyl, displaying iton their functional glass splash back.

Client: Audit Commission Project: Nicholson House, Bristol

The landlords, Audit Commission, required a refurbishment of oneof their existing buildings and to modernise the communal areasfor their new tenants.

Our project involved ensuring that health and safety standardswere top priority, communication with the tenants in occupationwas consistent throughout as they operate a 24hour business.

We worked with the local Audit Commission team as well as theclients property consultants GVA to deliver the project efficientlyand to a high standard.

We installed new commercial grade broadloom carpet to theentrance lobby, stairs and landings. All the existing communalareas were stripped of wall coverings and received newdecorations. Fixtures and fittings were upgraded and the lightingwas replaced with a more energy efficient solution.

Client: Ultima Business SolutionsProject: Cheltenham Racecourse

When Integral UK Ltd took over the maintenance of theracecourses owned by the Jockey Club in early 2010,Integral Build, the fit out and refurbishment division of thecompany, were on hand to assist in the delivery of severalfast track projects at Cheltenham. None were more fasttrack, and indeed high quality, than the complete strip outand re‐fit of a hospitality box for Ultima Business Solutions.

As the box was now under new ownership Ultima wantedto upgrade the tired 1980's design and decor intosomething more modern and contemporary. Integral Buildwere approached only 4 weeks before the annualCheltenham Festival to design and fit out the box to anextremely exacting specification. With time being of theessence Integral Build worked closely with a joinerypartner, Simon Kohn (Furniture) Ltd, to ensure design,procurement and fabrication could start without delay.

Client: Ultima Business SolutionsProject: Cheltenham Racecourse

The work consisted of new ceilings, partition alterations, new electrical wiring, new plumbing works and totalre‐decoration. The bespoke joinery components ‐ kitchen units, bar and media wall were manufactured fromhigh quality American Walnut. Additional seating was catered for by constructing a bar /shelf along each sidein easy to clean Minerelle (Acrylic based worktop), a material that gives long life and clean lines. The workswere all delivered on site in 3 weeks from the instruction to proceed, thus enabling the Ultima and their gueststo enjoy the 2010 Festival in comfort.

Client: The Red Maids’ SchoolProject: New Entrance Refurbishment

Integral Build has completed an eight month refurbishmentproject at the country's oldest girls' school, creating new,contemporary facilities for students, teachers and visitorswithin its original Edwardian complex.

The £1.9m transformation at the school in Westbury‐on‐Trym,Bristol, has resulted in a new library built in a two storey void inthe centre of the historic main school building, extensivemodernisation and expansion of he school's dining hall andremodelling of the school's visitor reception area.

Integral Build took the old dining hall and completelytransformed it by opening up walls into former classrooms tocreate a much more open feel the restaurant. New featureceiling rafts were installed with feature lighting inset as well ason the walls.

Part of the works included protecting the 400 hundred year oldfire place that had to remain insitu.

This was a technically challenging project because wewere working in a live and very dynamic environment and to veryspecific constraints regarding both the working landscape andterm times. Health and safety, cost control and communicationwere key. Despite some unpredicted structural challenges as theproject unfolded, the end result is stunning and we are verygrateful to the school which has been immensely flexible.

The new facilities now include a 'show cooking' station where hotmeals are cooked to order, sparkling water on tap and a brand newservery area.

The area has been opened up and benefits from a new lightinginstallation as well as improved ventilation.

Integral Build opened up existing roofing and made way toinstall a new roof for creation of a much needed new libraryspace.

This included installation of a new bespoke timber staircase,feature lighting, new ceiling bulkheads , mezzanine floor andsoft furnishings. The steel frame required for this involvedmajor structural works in the ground floor ceiling void and newfoundations. All of which had to be carried out while keepingthe school operational.

Integral Build constructed a new roof over the existing lightwellto create the library, formed from a steel frame with a”standing seam” roof and clerestory glazing. On the insidethere is an acoustic perforated plasterboard ceiling completewith specialist pendant light fittings from Belgium.

Client: Bristol Grammar School Project: Science Refurbishment

Bristol Grammar School (BGS) is one of Bristol’s most prestigiousand well known private schools. As part of the school’s eight yearplan to modernise its Gothic architecture estate, Integral Buildwere taken on during the summer recess to carry out a fast trackfit out of the science block.

The work involved the total strip out and substantial demolitionworks before construction could start, the raised floor housedstate of the art IT and services for each lab bench. The benchesthemselves were custom built from our specialist supplier.

The project was completed safely, on time and on budget for the

new school year in September.

Client: Bristol Grammar School Project: Food Technology Refurbishment

We were asked to convert an sports studio into a food technologysuite to take 24 pupils, consisting of a wide range of uniquestorage units, installation of new white goods to cater for theirneeds. This was accompanied by the installation of air conditioningunits and associated electrical works. A new back office andstorage areas were also created.

Client: Bristol Grammar School Project: Music Department Refurbishment

Our project for the BGS music department included converting anexisting food technology area to a music practice centre within thebasement of the school. On the first floor of the building, IntegralBuild were tasked with dismantling a supporting wall whichseparated two teaching rooms, thus creating one. To cope withstructural pressures, the building was supported with steelsupports allowing for the installation of an in‐situ structural beam..

Care UK are a leading independent provider of health and socialcare services. Working in close partnership with Local Authoritiesand Primary Care Trusts, they provide care and support for olderpeople, GP surgeries and treatment centres and also provide arange of specialist care and children's services.

Mid and South Buckinghamshire NHS Diagnostic Centre is run byCare UK on behalf of the NHS. Only NHS patients are treated byhighly trained clinical staff using the latest diagnostic imagingequipment to ensure that treatment is of the highest standard.

Client: Care UKProject: NHS MRI Scanner Facility, High Wycombe

With the successfully received physio / MSK scheme recentlycompleted, Care UK decided to take the next step of theirdevelopment plans and convert some of their further vacant spaceinto an MRI scanning facility.

The works consisted of strip out of existing raised access flooringand structural block work walls and fit out on the existing concreteslab including block work walls, mezzanine timber floor toencompass a Faraday cage in which the MRI scanner was sited, aswell as a totally stand alone M&E installation including airconditioning. Integral Build's dedicated site Project Manageroversaw the project and co‐ordinated specialist contractors. Theworks were carried out in a live environment as the remainingareas of the Centre were fully operational and could not beaffected by the works.

Client: Care UKProject: NHS Walk‐in centre, Brighton

Care UK are a leading independent provider of health and socialcare services. Working in close partnership with Local Authoritiesand Primary Care Trusts, they provide care and support for olderpeople, GP surgeries and treatment centres and also provide arange of specialist care and children's services. In Brighton CareUK won a 5 year contract to provide GP services to a the busyQueens Road area.

The project consisted of the fitting out of an existing open planoffice over two floors of a 5 storey building. With no on siteparking, minimal storage facilities and a busy town centre location,logistics and planning were a key factor to the success of theproject. One floor consisted of a waiting and reception area,complete with triage and a self help point, plus a suite ofconsulting and treatment rooms. On the lower floor an officearea, meeting room, rest area and records area were constructed.Due to the change of use, the project involved considerable M&Ealterations including cooling to the treatment rooms andadditional drainage. With time being of the essence the projectwas completed in 9 weeks, this enabled a 10 day lead in time forthe new staff to be inducted and trained in the new facility.

Client: BMI Healthcare LtdProject: The London Independent Hospital

BMI Healthcare, part of the The General Healthcare Group, are theUK's premier private health care provider with acute privatepatient hospitals and outpatients centres in 56 locations aroundthe country. As part of a national roll out of reception re‐brandingprojects, Integral Build were tasked with completing a completerefurbishment of the main reception at The London Independent.

The works were planned on a phased basis to ensure minimaldisruption to hospital staff, patients and visitors. The worksconsisted of a new main reception desk, nurse station receptiondesk, all new decorations, Amtico flooring and a "feature" wallconstructed of ‘Armourcoat’, a specialist form of plaster.
