Admission ProcedureAdmission of students in Canvas is based on the score in entrance test followed by an interview and the grading point obtained in the SEE. Students securing the grades as mentioned in SEE or its equivalent are eligible for entrance test conducted by the college to get admission in science, Management and Humanities streams.

The Entrance test will be based on Science, English and Mathematics, Nepali and GK.

ScienceWe run Science Program backed up by highly qualified and experienced faculty members. This stream is facilitated with spacious and state of the art laboratories to meet with the students’ needs and expectation. The intake in this program is limited to 200 students annually. The students’ selection is based on the entrance test score and marks obtained in SEE.

B.Sc . is a four year program equipping graduates with thenecessary credentials for pursuing research and developmentin the field of applied science. The curricula, designed by TU,foster strong theoretical and practical knowledge in fundamentalor natural science including Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, andBotany. Keeping its invaluable scope in mind, Canvas Collegeis introducing a Bachelor Program in natural science to produceversatile manpower to build the nation. In addition to the mutualexchange and sharing of ideas between teachers and students,teaching methods such as power point presentation, group workand project work are applied effectively.

While the program consists of number of compulsory courses, students have the option to specialize in specific areas of study.

BA (BSW)Unlike the other area of study, Humanities (BA) is multidisciplinary and open-ended program.

Bachelor in Arts /3 year Program:This program covers Literature, Language, Social work, History, Philosophy, and other subjects in humanities. It encompasses a broad area of the study at par with study areas offered by various universities across the globe. Unlike the other area of studies, Humanities (BA) is multidisciplinary and open ended program.

Project Work & Industrial VisitCanvas College provides unparalleled opportunities to its students to participate in workshops, meeting and seminars. The students of Management are provided exposure visits to different industries and corporations to acquaint them with management practices to meet the objectives of the curriculum.

Classroom and LibraryClassrooms in Canvas College are well furnished and well ventilated with comfy seating arrangements. As a result, spending hours inside the class-room is comfortable and relaxing.Canvas college has a spacious library that has a large collection of the latest articles such as Course and Reference books, Journals, Magazines and CD-ROMs on various subjects. Students have an access to photocopy facilities inside the college premises.

Guidance and CounselingCanvas has been able to set up a guidance and counseling section. Professional counselors help students who have difficulties of different sorts.

Proper career guidance and academic counseling are regular services provided to Canvas students when they encounter with any academic difficulties. A psycho social counselor helps students who have social or emotional problems.

Computer and Internet Facility

The students of Canvas are always benefit from modern computer Lab. They are always provided with enough opportunities to develop competence in computer operations. In order to support and optimize use of electronic resources the entire campus has wireless network coverage which enables laptops to connect to the college' network and the Internet.

Internal Evaluation System

Evaluation system is based on scientific values that assess the students' talent explore their hidden potentials and prepare them to have command over the subject matter as prescribed by NEB and T.U. The college uses an internal evaluation system involving class presentation, group work, project work and written tests etc.

The college conducts cycle test, monthly tests and three terminal tests a year held by the respective subject teachers. Every student must attend and pass all tests conducted by the college to be eligible to appear in the Board Exam.

ExaminationsThe final exams for XI and XII are conducted by NEB, Nepal and final examination for BBS, BA (BSW) and MBS are conducted by the office of the controller of examinations, TU following their own schedule. But the College conducts internal assessment of students through various approaches in order to prepare students in the final exams.

Field and practical WorkThe students will do field work, spending two weeks studying and learning at a relevant organization during the time fixed by the department or college. After the field work, the students will write a field report in the format prescribed by the department and submit it to the evaluation department.

Canvas Sports Club and Recreational ActivitiesThe role of sports and other extra – curricular activities in all round development of a student is well understood here. So sports and recreational activities are as much a part of Canvas College. It has a playground for various sports activities like Basketball, Badminton, and Table Tennis. We pay special attention to providing students with the best opportunity to organize and participate in inter and intra college tournaments on various occasions. The Sports Club, which was formed by students themselves organizes and conducts such sports activities.

Canvas Alumni Association

Ex-students of Canvas College have established an Alumni Association with the objectives like charity, environmental preservation and awareness, sharing of idea, extending and the exchanging of co-operation among Canvas family and the society.
