Integrated manufacturing with Savant ADC/WMS!

The module allows system administra-tors to define production lines and work centers within the production lines. Work orders are assigned an order type code which controls how raw materials are picked and staged at the appropriate pro-duction line. For each work center, users are able to capture the start and end times for the work being done in that position. The configuration of the work centers will also signal the point in time where the raw materials are deducted from inventory.

If needed, the WIP module can produce user-defined labels as the manufacturing process moves forward. Savant supports the generation of lot number or serial numbers. If materials are scrapped at any point of the process, an appropriate Inventory Adjustment can be made to ac-count for this, and can be tied back to the Work Order if desired. Optionally, finished goods inventory can be placed on hold at the moment of receipt, and then after QC inspection, the hold can be released. Only then will the inventory be deemed avail-able to ship to customers.

WIP MODULE OVERVIEW and FEATUREs

Savant Software's WIP Moduletracks the consumption of raw materi-als into the manufacturing process and captures the finished goods information as they come out of the manufacturing process. The WIP module supports track-ing of materials for the two main types of manufacturing operations: discrete and process.

Proper rotation of Inventory.Proper rotation of raw material inventory will be used when moving it to the production lines, and that accurate account-ability of what was used for lot traceability will also be there.

Real-Time Functionality.Real-time receipt of Finished Goods inventory as it comes off the production line and the ability to track scrap adjustments in real-time.

Productivity Tracking.Ability to track the beginning and ending time stamps for each step of the manufacturing process, therefore being able to track productivity and see bottlenecks in the process.

Inspection Holds.Allow users to place Finished Goods on hold for inspection.

Raw Material HandlingAllows over-picking of raw material items, as well as a return to stock function for unused quantities that were picked for a work order.
