Acceptance and commitment therapy This therapy is based on the core premise of accepting what cannot be changed in our lives and then choosing to commit to action that enhances our ability to live full and meaningful lives. As a therapeutic modality, it provides useful mindful techniques on how to manage difficult thoughts and feelings while maintaining more control. It also helps to establish core values and what is important in living life fully. Client-centred psychology This psychology is based on absolute positive regard for the client, which establishes a safe, trusting and non-judgmental relationship between client and practitioner. It adopts the approach that each client has vast resources within that can be tapped into with a facilitative approach from a therapist to help reach a full and meaningful life. Mindfulness training Mindfulness-based therapy offers a practical set of evidence-based techniques to address a range of psychological disorders and general stress conditions. Mindfulness allows us to experience each event in the present moment within our body and mind with a non-judgmental, non-reactive and accepting attitude. We offer classes and workshops for individuals and groups throughout the year on topics related to living a full and meaningful life. Key therapeutic approaches

Cognitive-behavioural therapy This is a focused and short-term approach that is used to manage specific difficulties. It is based on understanding the specific thoughts and feelings that influence behaviour. This technique is useful in managing specific fears and phobias, anxiety and depression. Cognitive-behavioural therapy relies on implementing strategies and techniques to enhance functioning.
