Conceptual issues for SPS notifications• Move from count of notification documents to clearly
identifiable trade policy measures – Group together all documents relating to the same “root
document symbol” and count as one measure
• Fill gaps on in-force and withdrawal dates from notified addenda, corrigenda and revisions
• Fill gaps on product descriptions in SPS IMS data base for retrieval in I-TIP.
• Considering to also show ICS codes and derive missing HS codes through a correlation to the ICS

Milestones 2012-14• Improve consistency and quality of data:
– Review & standardize notification information in databases– Retrieve missing information from past notifications which had not
been fully integrated into SPS IMS
• Review and improve divisional data entry– Allow for date entry when these are mentioned in addenda
• Review and improve database design and operation
