Over a period of 20+ years, the Intel® Pentium® processor has evolved greatly and has seen a big leap in performance and

features. Today, the Intel® Pentium® processor is in its 12th generation, a derivative of today’s 4th generation Intel® Core™

processor family, which is based on Intel’s latest industry leading 22nm architecture and comes with some of the

technologies found in 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors.

Designed to Deliver 24x7 Reliability and ProductivityA huge number of the workforce in India are transactional workers - “process/workflow operators” - working in verticals like

banking, call center (ITES) and education. A large segment of this workforce generally uses their PCs for an extended

amount of time. In this scenario, reliable PC systems that deliver capable performance, affordability, and high energy

efficiency are required to meet the demanding needs of a typical Indian worker.

The Intel® Pentium® processor has been Intel’s flagship processor for the transactional PC segment for years. Intel has been

empowering transactional workers from industries like BFSI and ITES with Intel® Pentium® processor based desktops.

The new generation of Intel® Pentium® processors (Dual-Core & Quad-Core) based desktops are best suited for these

workers as the systems deliver up to 200% better performance than Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6300 based desktops at 350% of the energy consumption. This performance and efficiency improvement can enable great value for businesses.

Supported by a Robust OEM EcosystemLeading OEMs like Lenovo*, HP*, Dell* and Acer*, among others, maximize the full potential of the latest Intel® Pentium®

Tablets for BusinessTablets powered by Intel® fit right into the enterprise

Read more at www.intel.in/tabletforbusiness

Enhance the mobility of your business without sacrificing performance with an Intel®

architecture-based tablet running Windows* 8 or Android* operating system.

Be it Haswell, Clovertrail, Baytrail or your continuing efforts and directions, there is a clear embrace of new trends in the industry. How do you reckon tabletisation as a strong influencer here?

Tabletisation is a big force, especially in the BFSI sector. Some 200 million customers will make banking transactions on their tablets by 2017. Many banks are investing aggressively in online banking, for reasons like cost reduction, customer retention, etc.

How crucial are new handshakes in your emphasis on tabletisation?

With ecosystem, largely our enabling work is with OEMs, ODMs to assure multiple designs, form factors meeting different price point and capabilities. We work with Google* and Microsoft* to assure that their latest OS experience is best-in-class with Intel. We work with ISVs/app developers to assure that their apps are best optimized/perform the best on Intel® based tablets.

Consumer technologies and supercomputers are strong action-fields for Intel on different turfs. Is it easy or possible to bridge them somewhere?

Today the tablet in our hand is more powerful than a five-year old PC or a 20 year old supercomputer. Moore's law is equally applicable to all devices so yes you can expect devices to be more powerful as we move ahead, to the extent possibly where they surpass the super-compute power of older generations.

Drive office innovation on a 2 in 1 mobile device

In business today, creativity and collaboration drive innovation. This has often required multiple devices

to get the job done, because we have to work in two different modes. Creativity means think time, typing

and data input, and working hooked up, head down, and hands-on with the PC—alone. Collaboration is a

whole different interaction: working together with colleagues, often meeting spontaneously somewhere

other than your desk.

Touch has revolutionized how we interact with technology. Touch allows workers to gather around a single

display in a more natural interaction than crowding around a desktop or laptop PC. Touch allows people

to use simple gestures to change focus to what’s important on the screen. Today’s office worker needs

both a traditional keyboard to create and touch to collaborate. 2 in 1s bring these together in a slim,

powerful, easy-to-carry device.

Project Management Acrobatics Made Easier

Project managers are some of the biggest multitaskers in the office. They are a one-person acrobatic

team. Many of these acrobats have had to use multiple devices to get their jobs done. Laptops alone—

disconnecting, reconnecting, folding, unfolding, and balancing them on one hand—keep them from being

productive and effective in multiple environments.

A 2 in 1 lets them work hands on, at their desks with a keyboard. The moment they need to get ideas,

opinions, and answers, they can detach, flip, or twist the keyboard out of the way and be in the hall,

conference room, or another office, easily, with the 2 in 1 as a touch tablet.

A 2 in 1 in the office helps keep workers productive

wherever they need to be, while reducing total cost of

ownership for the company and workloads in it.

2 in 1 is Better than Two

A 2 in 1 turns two devices into one. That simplifies life

for the office worker using it. But, with a 2 in 1 built on

a 4th generation Intel® Core™ vPro™ processor, it also

reduces IT’s workload and the total cost of ownership 4for the company. 2 in 1s with Intel® vPro™ Technology

meet all the requirements that allow IT to keep these

new devices in compliance, help protect identities and

data, and remotely manage and maintain the entire 5fleet. In the long run, one is cheaper than two.

Today’s office worker needs both a traditional

keyboard to create and touch to collaborate.

Infuse Your Business with Real-time, Data-Driven IntelligenceSAP HANA* software and the Intel® Xeon® processor E7 family

power real-time business on an enterprise scale

Optimizations for the Intel® Xeon® Processor E7 Family

SAP HANA takes excellent advantage of Intel® Xeon® processor E7 family platform features:

• Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology (Intel® HT Technology) enables each processor core to handle two instruction streams simultaneously. SAP HANA takes advantage of this feature by performing work in parallel where possible and avoiding sequential processing.

• Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA) decreases contention among processors for memory-access bandwidth. SAP HANA takes advantage of NUMA through the assignment of processor affinity and data placement.

7• Intel® Turbo Boost Technology allows processor cores to run faster than the base operating frequency under certain conditions. SAP HANA takes advantage of this feature automatically.

SAP HANA In-Memory Database Platform

Grow into the Future

Intel and SAP continue to extend the capability and efficiency of the SAP HANA platform. In the future, SAP HANA will act as the technology foundation for new, innovative business applications for planning, forecasting, operational performance, and simulation.

Enabling Real-Time Business through Tight Platform Integration

The SAP HANA in-memory database platform enables both transactional and analytics applications to be deployed on top of a single, blazingly fast, in-memory database to support real-time business scenarios while dramatically reducing total costs.

Today’s rising flood of diverse, fast-moving data represents one of the greatest

business opportunities of our time. Companies that can analyze data and distribute

information better and faster than their competitors can act more quickly and

intelligently to grow and protect their business. You can do exactly that with the SAP*

In-Memory Appliance Software (SAP HANA*) real-time business platform.

The Next Generation of Business-Data Analysis

SAP HANA is a multi-purpose appliance based on SAP software components

installed on servers based on the Intel® Xeon® processor. Conventional database

systems are typically performance-limited by the latency associated with reading

data from disk before a calculation and writing it back to disk afterward. SAP HANA

overcomes that limitation by storing the primary data copy in memory, rather than

on disk.

Using main memory as the primary data store lets SAP HANA deploy transactional

and analytic engines together, speeding up performance and letting users perform

ad-hoc data mining and decision-support functions. That transforms business

intelligence for a better future.

• Software and workloads used in performance tests may have been optimized for performance only on Intel microprocessors. Performance tests, such as SYSmark and MobileMark, are measured using specific computer systems, components, software, operations and functions. Any change to any of those

factors may cause the results to vary. You should consult other information and performance tests to assist you in fully evaluating your contemplated purchases, including the performance of that product when combined with other products.

• Results have been estimated based on internal Intel analysis and are provided for informational purposes only. Any difference in system hardware or software design or configuration may affect actual performance.

• Intel does not control or audit the design or implementation of third party benchmarks or Web sites referenced in this document. Intel encourages all of its customers to visit the referenced Web sites or others where similar performance benchmarks are reported and confirm whether the referenced

benchmarks are accurate and reflect performance of systems available for purchase.

• Relative performance is calculated by assigning a baseline value of 1.0 to one benchmark result, and then dividing the actual benchmark result for the baseline platform into each of the specific benchmark results of each of the other platforms, and assigning them a relative performance number that correlates

with the performance improvements reported.

• The cost reduction scenarios described in this document are intended to enable you to get a better understanding of how the purchase of a given Intel product, combined with a number of situation-specific variables, might affect your future cost and savings. Circumstances will vary and there may be

unaccounted-for costs related to the use and deployment of a given product. Nothing in this document should be interpreted as either a promise of or contract for a given level of costs.

Risk Factors and Optimization Notice

The above statements and any others in this document that refer to plans and expectations for the third quarter, the year and the future are forward-looking statements that involve a number of risks and uncertainties. Words such as “anticipates,” “expects,” “intends,” “plans,” “believes,” “seeks,” “estimates,” “may,”

“will,” “should” and their variations identify forward-looking statements. Statements that refer to or are based on projections, uncertain events or assumptions also identify forward-looking statements. Many factors could affect Intel’s actual results, and variances from Intel’s current expectations regarding such

factors could cause actual results to differ materially from those expressed in these forward-looking statements. Intel presently considers the following to be the important factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from the company’s expectations. Demand could be different from Intel's expectations

due to factors including changes in business and economic conditions; customer acceptance of Intel’s and competitors’ products; supply constraints and other disruptions affecting customers; changes in customer order patterns including order cancellations; and changes in the level of inventory at customers.

Uncertainty in global economic and financial conditions poses a risk that consumers and businesses may defer purchases in response to negative financial events, which could negatively affect product demand and other related matters. Intel operates in intensely competitive industries that are characterized by a

high percentage of costs that are fixed or difficult to reduce in the short term and product demand that is highly variable and difficult to forecast. Revenue and the gross margin percentage are affected by the timing of Intel product introductions and the demand for and market acceptance of Intel's products; actions

taken by Intel's competitors, including product offerings and introductions, marketing programs and pricing pressures and Intel’s response to such actions; and Intel’s ability to respond quickly to technological developments and to incorporate new features into its products. The gross margin percentage could vary

significantly from expectations based on capacity utilization; variations in inventory valuation, including variations related to the timing of qualifying products for sale; changes in revenue levels; segment product mix; the timing and execution of the manufacturing ramp and associated costs; start-up costs; excess or

obsolete inventory; changes in unit costs; defects or disruptions in the supply of materials or resources; product manufacturing quality/yields; and impairments of long-lived assets, including manufacturing, assembly/test and intangible assets. Intel's results could be affected by adverse economic, social, political

and physical/infrastructure conditions in countries where Intel, its customers or its suppliers operate, including military conflict and other security risks, natural disasters, infrastructure disruptions, health concerns and fluctuations in currency exchange rates. Expenses, particularly certain marketing and

compensation expenses, as well as restructuring and asset impairment charges, vary depending on the level of demand for Intel's products and the level of revenue and profits. Intel’s results could be affected by the timing of closing of acquisitions and divestitures. Intel's results could be affected by adverse effects

associated with product defects and errata (deviations from published specifications), and by litigation or regulatory matters involving intellectual property, stockholder, consumer, antitrust, disclosure and other issues, such as the litigation and regulatory matters described in Intel's SEC reports. An unfavorable

ruling could include monetary damages or an injunction prohibiting Intel from manufacturing or selling one or more products, precluding particular business practices, impacting Intel’s ability to design its products, or requiring other remedies such as compulsory licensing of intellectual property. A detailed

discussion of these and other factors that could affect Intel’s results is included in Intel’s SEC filings, including the company’s most recent reports on Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and earnings release.

Optimization Notice

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors.
