Auto-Recharging Dehydrating BreathersINTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY HELPS KEEP OIL DRY AND TRANSFORMERS FREE FROM CONTAMINANTS
The second generation ARDB uses breather intelligencetechnology and a bypass valve to automatically scheduleregeneration and isolate the transformer from the silica gel. Modular design and high temperature, UV-resistant, anti-corrosive plastic housing allow for use in confined areas.
AUTOMATIC R ECHARG E US I NG I NTE LLIG E NT R EG E N E RATION CONTROL TECH NOLOGY Keeping the silica gel dry eliminates the need for periodic replacement of the desiccant. Logic controls include a humidity switch, timer and vacuum protection circuit that automatically “learn” to regenerate during transformer exhale only, driving moisture out of the desiccant while keeping the transformer isolated from steam-generated contaminants.
US E R-CONTROLLE D TI M E-BAS E D S ETTI NG S Included timer allows variable time-based settings for user-controlled regeneration of silica gel. Time settings for 5, 10, 20 or 40 day intervals can be set by the customer. Intelligent humidity sensor serves as a back-up to ensure user-based settings are adequate for proper breather operation.
I NTEG RATE D ALAR M S LED indicators on front cover of control box visually alert user of breather operational status. Relay contacts are also included for remote (SCADA) breather monitoring.
QU ICK AN D EASY I N STALLATION Lightweight unit with integrated controls installs easily on as little as a 7”x5” flat mounting surface. Quick-connect power and alarm harnesses included.
OPE RATION (D IAG RAM AT LE FT) During regeneration, a heating element located inside the ARDB2 assembly heats the partially saturated silica gel, driving moisture out. This moisture condenses on the polycarbonate tube, forming free water, which then flows down the tube and out the bottom vent.
S I LICA G E L I N FOR MATION All ARDB2s ship with an environmentally-friendly and enhanced performance silica gel. This desiccant remains orange in color as long as it stays dry and turns clear when saturated. Clear silica gel with no color indicator is also available.
