Tithing Income Last Week: $13,633.17 Income Same Week Last Year: $13,952.23

From the Pastor: In the Christmas Season many people share their gifts with those who are less fortunate. I sincerely thank you for all the sacrifices you have made through your personal charities to make this a more blessed Christmas for those in need. I also thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your support of our parish community and its needs. Please be assured of my prayers. RETIRED RELIGIOUS NEED YOUR SUPPORT

By 2019, it is projected that retired religious will outnumber wage-earning religious by nearly four to one. A Mary Christmas Deacon Bruce and Deacon Tony will present “A Mary Christmas: Celebrating Christmas with Mary” on Tuesday December 11 & 18 at 7:30 PM in the All Purpose Room. families of the Roxbury community have a brighter Christmas!

IF YOU CAN STILL HELP?? HOLIDAY MEALS: We were just made aware that there are 10 families in Roxbury that still need Holiday Meals. If you can help, please call Anita Galan at 973-584-9211 as soon as possible for a shopping list. Meals will need to be delivered to the church on Saturday, December 22nd between 8:30 – 9:30am.

GIFTS: If there are tags left, please consider helping the needy families of the Roxbury community have a brighter Christmas!

If there are no tags left but you would like to help, please purchase a gift for a boy or girl, age 5 -15 and label the gift with a tag indicating the gift, boy or girl and age appropriate. (i.e. “Truck, boy, age 3-5” or “Game, girl, age 10-12”)

Please return the gifts, wrapped, with the tags attached by Sunday, December 16th.

Bells will be Ringing Once again this year, with the help of our parishioners, we would like to continue the tradition started last year by decorating the Atrium tree. As you know, we here at St Therese always offer gifts for our needy families in Roxbury by taking a tag from the 'Giving Tree' found in the Atrium. However, after the tags are gone, the tree remains quite bare. A theme for the year has been chosen---the theme is BELLS!

Starting the second week of Advent, you are welcome to bring in a bell ornament of your choice and place it somewhere on the Atrium Tree (one bell per family, please). What a beautiful way to have the families of St Therese connected in with this visible sign of the season. The theme of bells was chosen because their sound rings out the best our season has to offer, a true reflection of the spirit of the parishioners of St. Therese. Look for the Angels from last year’s tree will appear on another tree adorning our church this Christmas season.
