For each system of the body you will find multiple concepts explored, but you are only responsible for turning in the review sheets that are found under the learning unit for each week. See your course schedule for more information. You need to have the CD-ROM Interactive Physiology 9 or 10 System Suite. It should have come with the hardback Anatomy and Physiology book, but also can be found on Mastering A&P. Screen shots later in this document will show you where. What you need: You must have the Interactive Physiology 9 or 10 System Suite or get to it via Mastering A&P. All Review Sheets can be printed from the learning unit folders on MyHills in the Interactive Physiology Homework Assignments areas. All of the Review Sheets are Word documents. There is a submit area for each homework assignment. Please place the correct document in the correct area. What to Turn in: Only the review sheet answers. Type them into a new Word document, or use the Word document provided that you opened, and submit each one into the appropriate location. You need to print off a course schedule; it’s your new best friend because homework turned in late will be 5 points off for each week they are late, starting with 12:01 am after the due date. All due dates are Wednesdays, so plan accordingly. What to Do: 1. Put in the Interactive Physiology CD-ROM and follow the directions to install it onto your computer. You can also find the interactive animations out on the book website, Mastering A&P, in the study area. If you are having problems seeing the animations, you need to do a browser check and be connected to the internet to download Flash, and the Adobe Flash Player. You can also work from Mastering A&P. Make sure your Active X controls are liberal, and turn off your pop up blockers. If you don’t know how to do it, please contact the IT Help Desk. 2. Print off or open the review sheet to answer the questions as you continue through the “website” and animations. You may also have to find some answers in the quizzes (note that quizzes at the end of interactive physiology ppts do not have to be turned in) or your book. 3. When you have found all of the answers, type them into a Word document and submit them. 4. If you have questions, ask them in the discussion board and either your instructor or other students can help.

Interactive Physiology

Interactive Physiology is a series of web-like animations and information to help you understand the

concepts read about in lectures. For each system of the body you will find multiple concepts explored,

but you are only responsible for turning in the review sheets that are found under the learning unit for

each week. See your course schedule for more information. You need to have the CD-ROM Interactive

Physiology 9 or 10 System Suite. It should have come with the hardback Anatomy and Physiology book,

but also can be found on Mastering A&P. Screen shots later in this document will show you where.

What you need:

You must have the Interactive Physiology 9 or 10 System Suite or get to it via Mastering A&P. All

Review Sheets can be printed from the learning unit folders on MyHills in the Interactive Physiology

Homework Assignments areas. All of the Review Sheets are Word documents. There is a submit area for

each homework assignment. Please place the correct document in the correct area.

What to Turn in:

Only the review sheet answers. Type them into a new Word document, or use the Word document

provided that you opened, and submit each one into the appropriate location. You need to print off a

course schedule; it’s your new best friend because homework turned in late will be 5 points off for each

week they are late, starting with 12:01 am after the due date. All due dates are Wednesdays, so plan

accordingly.

What to Do:

1. Put in the Interactive Physiology CD-ROM and follow the directions to install it onto your

computer. You can also find the interactive animations out on the book website, Mastering A&P,

in the study area. If you are having problems seeing the animations, you need to do a browser

check and be connected to the internet to download Flash, and the Adobe Flash Player. You can

also work from Mastering A&P. Make sure your Active X controls are liberal, and turn off your

pop up blockers. If you don’t know how to do it, please contact the IT Help Desk.

2. Print off or open the review sheet to answer the questions as you continue through the

“website” and animations. You may also have to find some answers in the quizzes (note that

quizzes at the end of interactive physiology ppts do not have to be turned in) or your book.

3. When you have found all of the answers, type them into a Word document and submit them.

4. If you have questions, ask them in the discussion board and either your instructor or other

students can help.

4. Then you end up in the assignment. Go slide by slide to look through the assignment. If you see

things in red, you can click on them to learn more. You might have to click on animation to get them

to play or be interactive to find answers. Usually the answers come in order, i.e. the first answers will

be toward the beginning of the presentation, and the others towards the end. Some might be in the

quiz, or may have to find them in your book. But, all answers can be found if you take your time and

look at everything.

5. If you have trouble viewing the presentation, update your Adobe Shockwave player and turn on

permission for this site for popups, and allow shockwave to run. You might also have to give Active X

control permissions. You can also call the IT Help Desk with computer issues.
