Favorite SOLOS

Each year Alfred publishes a variety of sheet music solos for students at various levels.

Teachers and students use them for recitals, audi-tions, festivals, or just to have fun. Many of these become student favorites, and teachers continue to teach them through the years. When Alfred purchased Warner Brothers Publications in 2005, the solo collections of Elvina Pearce became a part of the Alfred catalog.

As a pianist, professional composer, and long-time professor of pedagogy, Elvina Pearce has the rare ability to write music that is both artistic and pedagogical.

Her well-crafted pieces are designed to sound difficult and flashy, although the technical level is within the student’s ability to play the piece well.
