...Moving made easy...
Intermove removal services offer an all-round carefree package comprising a variety of
services for your individual needs - from professional dismantling, packaging, loading, transport
and transfer to unloading, complete unpacking and assembly at the point of destination.
But obviously we offer more than that. We provide a much wider range of services relating to
removal such as, for example, additional transport insurance, organising service providers
(electricians, plumbers, cleaners, waste disposal), transport of vehicles as well as interim or
long-term warehousing in our own warehouses or elsewhere, all of which live up to the highest
expectations.
We strive to make your move relaxed and smooth. Your personal advisor will assist you
throughout right from the start with issues of any kind. They have everything under control:
organisation, answers to your questions, solutions to your problems and they supervise the
progress of your move as scheduled.
Our high service quality is guaranteed by quality management certified by the TÜV (technical
control board) according to (ISO 9001:2000).

AdsSmall ads are an excellent means for getting rid of su-perfluous household items. Thus clearing might even render a couple of euros.
(AMOE) The German association of furniture forwarders and logisticsYou will recognize them by the kangaroo on wheels with a cupboard in its pouch. AMOE forwarders have pledged themselves to keep a catalogue of defined minimum criteria for the protection of the customers. UTS group partner companies must be a member of AMOE.
ChildrenFor children a move is an important turning point. Get your children to pack the items which are special for them themselves. On the day of the move your child will most probably feel better in the company of friends or relatives than in the hustle and bustle of the move. If it is not possible for your child to stay with friends or relati-ves please be aware that your child will be exited and will need your special attention on such a day. Furnish the children room first in the new home.
Computer transportWe transport all kinds of bulky or sensitive goods. Apart from furniture this includes computers, medical-technical appliances, objects of art, or musical instru-ments. So your belongings are in good hands. Just ask us.
Deadlines (settling claims)Regarding claims for damages statutory periods have to be observed. Damages which are clearly visible have to be reported to the forwarder immediately or at the latest one day after delivery and damages which are not clearly visible within 14 days after delivery. All claims must be made in written form.
DlN certified quality (ISO 9001)The certification of quality management according to ISO 9001 guarantees a wide range of measures which clearly define the standards for the overall processes within a company over and above the guaranteed qua-lity of the product itself.
European removal standard DIN EN 125222The European standard DIN EN 12522 relating to the removals of private persons describes the quality stan-dard for carrying out such removals. In it the require-ments regarding the technical equipment and the staff employed in the removal are defined.
Hazardous goodsIt is imperative to inform the forwarder of any containers with hazardous goods (e.g. oil, paint, solvents) among the removal goods. These goods must be handled with particular care.
Licence issued under law on road haulage of goodsWhoever performs commercial traffic with vehicles which are subject to approval requires an authorisation according to the German law on road haulage of goods (GüKG). This means that a company needs official approval for commercially used transport vehicles with a maximum permissible gross laden weight of more than 3.5 tons (vehicles larger than the cargo van or light commercial vehic-le). The GüKG approval requires companies to take out an insurance with basic coverage on behalf of the moving party when performing removals on a commercial basis. Suppliers who only operate using small vehicles often do not possess the GüKG approval and therefore damages remain uncovered.
LiabilityThe moving company is liable for damages arising in their area of responsibility. Statutory liability is limited to €620 per cubic meter removal goods. This does not, however, include any damages which cannot be influenced by the forwarder such as circumstances beyond their control or force majeure.

You can, however, conclude transport insurance co-vering all risks. (see „Transport insurance“ below.)
Intangible valuesIn case of damage the insurance will always assume the current actual value of any object. The subjective, personal (intangible value) of e.g. a piece of furniture might be much higher for you because it is an heir-loom or a special gift. Please inform your UTS moving company of these special pieces and they will discuss possible special handling (e.g. packaging, insurance) with you.
Packaging materialIn case you want to pack your personal household ef-fects yourself you should make absolutely sure that you use special packing cases. Otherwise safe loading of the vehicle cannot be ensured. Do not save on packing paper. Your UTS company Intermove will advise you. There you will also get further premium quality supplies for your move.
Pet removalRegarding the transport of live animals the moving com-pany is exempt from liability. We therefore recommend PetMove for your pet - a certified service of Intermove (see pet removals). This service has been particularly developed for the needs of animals by government em-ployed vets, animal lovers, and specially trained staff. If you move abroad we read up on the latest regulati-ons valid at that time in order to avoid any obstacles which might complicate or prevent the entry. Greatest comfort in special vehicles and highest possible care during the change of location ensure this is the most relaxing method for your pet to change its home and saves a lot of stress. www.petmove.net
MoonlightingUTS companies are required to employ only staff who are registered with state social insurance. The com-panies are surveyed and all possess approval by the authorities. Employing a UTS forwarding company protects you from the risk of supporting moonlighting.
Road tollSince 2005 Germany levies a distance related road toll on motorways. The amount varies according to the vehicle used. The forwarders have to pay this road toll to the state similar to the value added tax shown in the invoice.
Transport insuranceYour UTS moving company will advise you and provi-de comprehensive worldwide transport insurance upon request. We offer cover including full replacement va-lue at destination and also including force majeure.Your Intermove advisor will inform you.

YuccaRegarding the transport of plants the moving com-pany is exempt from liability. For the transport of your plants special care has to be taken depending on weather and season. We can certainly offer a gentle and suitable solution.

...Useful tips for those who pack themselves ...
Packaging tips
BottlesWine and other bottles have to be packed in bottle slee-ves and / or bottle boxes with inserted honeycombs.
GlassGlasses are first packed in pads and then in packing paper and stowed in porcelain boxes standing up. The areas between two layers of glasses are padded with packing paper.
China /porcelainParts which easily break such as handles and spouts of pots and tureens have to be particularly protected. Make rolls from packing paper then wrap them around handles and spouts. Take off the lids of pots and pack them individually and then together with the main part as one unit.
Dishes / tablewarePads for plates should always be larger than the diame-ter of the plates. The lower layer is formed by packing paper and pad. Then plates and pads alternate. No piece of porcelain must touch another piece directly. The stack of plates is put edgewise into a porcelain box. The box is well packed when the individual units sit tightly (but not too tightly) in the box and the individual pieces cannot clink. Check your packed box again. Lift it up and shake it gently. If you hear clinking glasses or dishes you should definitely check the box again.
BooksTake care that all boxes are only packed up to the car-rying handle. That way you avoid jammed fingers and boxes which are too heavy. Books are packed back to back into a book box so that they do not slide into each other. Only pack one layer of books into a book box to avoid the box becoming too heavy. The gaps as well as the empty spaces can be filled up with lighter objects such as pillows. Take the books out of the shelves row by row and number the book boxes consecutively.
ClothesHanging garments are transported in clothes boxes/wardrobe boxes. Please make sure you do not pack the boxes too tightly. It is better to use an additional box to avoid creases.
Technical appliancesTechnical appliances such as TVs and monitors should not be packed in blankets as the fluff might get inside the appliances. To avoid this use antistatic bubble wrap or paper blankets.Protect edges and frames additionally and use special boxes for flat screens for TVs and screens. Use the transport lock for washing machines and CD players.
Are you planning to pack your personal belongings yourself? - Here are some tips and tricks to ensure your personal belongings arrive safely in the new home. You will get the necessary material from your UTS moving company. We recommend, however, that you have sensitive objects professionally packed by our staff. Please coordinate this with us beforehand.

PicturesFirst pack pictures or mirrors in bubble wrap or paper blankets and then into variable picture boxes.Wrap particularly big pictures, mirrors and glass plates into blankets first and then put them into crates.
