The OpportunityThe International Champions Cup returns to Sky Sports this
summer, the pre-season football tournament that features some
of Europe’s elite clubs as they prepare for the new season. Sky
Media are proud to present a sponsorship proposal for the
International Champions Cup, a truly global spectacle with
fixtures scheduled in the US, Europe, Australia and China. This is a
great opportunity for a brand to align with an exclusive football
offering, across our broadcast, VOD and digital platforms.
The ContentSky Sports will show Premier League champions Leicester City
exclusively live against Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Celtic
in the International Champions Cup this summer.
Adding to an unmissable summer schedule of live sport, Sky
Sports will show up to 16 matches exclusively live from the three-
week tournament in July and August, including the champions of
England, Spain, Germany, Scotland, Italy and France.
As well as Leicester City, the schedule includes live coverage of
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City plus Liverpool, Tottenham
Hotspur, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich,
Juventus, Internazionale, AC Milan, Celtic and Paris Saint-Germain
from venues around the world.
Sky Sports will also show highlights of six matches involving Jose
Mourinho’s Manchester United and Antonio Conte's Chelsea.
After an incredible football season that will live long in the
memory, Sky Sports viewers will not have to wait too long before
they can see some of Europe’s best teams and players in action
once again as they gear up for the 2016/17 season.
Can Jose get off to a winning start? Will Leicester City continue
their unforeseen rise to becoming one of Europe’s top clubs? All
of this remains to be seen in what’s set to be a fantastic summer
of sport on Sky Sports.
