I am pleased to submit the World Tournament Director’s report.

1. Tournaments

1.1- Memorial Team Tournament <2300

The 4th edition in memoriam Nol van't Riet (NED) started on 4th July 2021 with 39 teams in 5 groups. Tournament Organiser: IA Jörg Kracht (GER).

1.2- ICCF World Cup Team

According ICCF Congress 2020 proposal 2020-036 the first edition of the new tournament: World Team Cup start on 1st August 2021. Tournament Organiser: IA Russell Sherwood (WLS).

The World Cup Team and the Memorial Tournaments<2300 will start alternately each year to not to compete.

OPEN TOURNAMENTS PROPOSALS

ICCF

José Raúl Capablanca IM Open International Tournament (ICCF)

To honour José Raúl Capablanca Graupera in the centenary of his success of getting the title of World Champion of Chess. ICCF Webserver International Open divided into two sections (classification list 2021-1)

• Main Section: For players with a rating higher than 2250, without categories. Players will be grouped in strict order of rating into sections of 11-13 players.

• Promotional Section: For players with a rating of 2250 or less, without categories. Players will be grouped in strict order of rating into sections of 7-13 players.

Time control: Triple Block (400) A time of reflection guaranteed of 3 days after the move 50 is applied. This tournament allows claims based on the basis of a seven-piece endgame. Date of upload to the ICCF webserver: March 10 to March 15, 2021. Start date: March 31, 2021. Reg Gilman Continuous Tournament (RGCT) (ENG-SCO-IRL-WLS)

ICCF Webserver Regional tournaments consisting of double pairings played between players who are paying members of NATCOR (National Correspondence Chess Club) and identify with the ICCF as a member of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, or from a country without Member Federation representation. No other entry criteria is expected or required. Rate of play: ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 30 days with duplication after 12 days is used. Start date: ongoing as and when pairings are requested by members. Expected number of pairings for calendar year 2021: around 150 based on numbers hosted in 2020. No additional entry fees are levied above the membership fee required to be a member of NATCOR, and there is no cash prize. The most recent 20 results from each participant are calculated and recorded in a rankings table freely accessible on NATCOR’S website. If any player stays at the top of the table for three or more consecutive months their name will thereafter be displayed in capital letters to recognise their achievement. TO: Colin Hipwell (ENG)

Keith Richardson GM All Play All Tournaments (APA) (ENG-SCO-IRL-WLS)

ICCF Webserver Regional tournaments consisting of five players playing a single pairing against each other, with each player playing as white in two games and black in two games. The only entrance restriction we impose is that all participants are paid-up members of NATCOR and identify with the ICCF as a member of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, or from a country without Member Federation representation. Rate of play: ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 30 days with duplication after 12 days

is used. Start date: ongoing as and when sufficient players request a place in a tournament. End date: Twelve calendar months from the commencement of play (for example, if a tournament starts on 01/02/20, the end date will be 01/02/21). Expected number of pairings for calendar year 2021: around 100 based on the hosting of 7 APA tournaments in 2020. No entry fee is levied to play in these tournaments above the fee required to be a member of NATCOR and there is no cash prize. Tom Morris League Championship (TMLC) (ENG-SCO-IRL-WLS)

ICCF Webserver Regional tournaments consisting of single pairings played between players who are paying members of NATCOR (National Correspondence Chess Club) and identify with the ICCF as a member of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, or from a country without Member Federation representation. No other entry criteria is expected or required. Rate of play: ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 30 days with duplication after 12 days is used, with an end date of 10 calendar months from start date for adjudication purposes. Start date: 11th October 2021, but may change slightly depending on start date for 2020 TMLC. Expected number of pairings for calendar year 2021: 25-30 based on expected number of games to be hosted in 2020. No additional entry fees are levied above the membership fee required to be a member of NATCOR, and there is no cash prize. Overall the tournament is organised into divisions where members play one game against each opponent in their division, with as clost to an equal number of games played as black or white depending on numbers in their division. At the end of the tournament the winner of the 'Premier Divsion' is crowned the 'Champion of NATCOR' for that season and wins a year's free membership to the club. The top two players in each division (except the 'Premier') are promoted to the division above (e.g. 1st Division is promoted to the 'Premier), and the bottom two players are relegated to the divison below (e.g. 1st Division to 2nd Division).
