It is a matter of great pride to all of us that for the first time, India will
host the biennial conference of The Marcé Society for Perinatal
Mental Health, MARCE 2018 at NIMHANS, Bengaluru. The
organizing committee is happy to invite you to MARCE 2018.
The conference will focus on the latest development in perinatal
psychiatry including public health, psychopharmacology, Mother-
Baby units, health services, community-based and clinical trials of
pharmacological and non- pharmacological approaches to
prevention, early intervention and treatment, neurobiology and
longitudinal studies. This conference will provide delegates an
opportunity to interact with some of the world's best researchers
and practitioners in the field as well as share experiences and
ideas with peers from all over the world.
There is a special program for Young Professionals including a
chance for being mentored by senior perinatal psychiatrists.
We would like to welcome International and National delegates to
Bengaluru. We promise you an exciting scientific and social
programme at Marce 2018!

The Young Professional (YP) Programme at Marce 2018
We have lined up an exciting and vibrant programme for Young Professionals at the MARCE 2018, Bengaluru.th1. The YP social event - On the evening of 25 September, an informal outdoor event has been organised. A
treasure hunt- “Gamifyi'd” would be organised at Lalbagh Botanical Gardens. Gamifyi'd is a quest designed to discover Places through an engaging clue hunt given on a Mobile App-GamiFYI.
Registration: 3:00pm onwards on 25th September at the Conference venue
2. The YP Mentorship Breakfast Mornings – We will be matching mentors, who are leaders in the field of Perinatal Mental Health, with selected YP's. Selected YP's will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their areas of interest in a one-to-one mentoring session, over a delicious South Indian breakfast!
To be a part of the YP breakfast programme, we request you to apply along with the abstract number and a brief statement on what you expect to gain from the mentorship breakfast programme (not more than 100 words).
th th thTime and Dates - Each morning of the conference (26 , 27 and 28 September) we will have 10- 12 young professionals interact with mentors. Each mentor will have three to four mentees.
The YP Breakfast time is between 7 and 8.30 am (Yes really early!)

Karulu balli - The Umbilical Cord
This will be a performance in the Bharathnatyam classical Indian dance form by Dr. Pavithra and Dr. Shubratha, both psychiatrists and NIMHANS alumni, Choreographed specially for the Marce congress this performance will combine the arts, psychology and human sentiments and showcase a rainbow of emotions that a mother perceives towards her child.

Daddy Do - Little (An hour of laughter)
Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi is an ENT surgeon, serial medical device innovator, author and stand up comedian who has performed all over India and internationally. He is known for his clean and observational stand up comedy content popularized by his YouTube channel "The Magaa of Small Things".
He has the added advantage of being the son of a psychiatrist and being married to one as well!
At the Marce 2018, he shares a humorous perspective on recently becoming a father and the interesting experiences that came along. So get ready for a laughter ride with his show - Daddy Do-Little, that is sure to make you re-experience those labour pains!
