Directing people and organizations today is more complex than ever. The environment has changed radically: there are several reasons, but we can agree that there are many different elements. It has become more Volatile, it changes continuously, it is not stable; it is Uncertain, as we can not predict what the consequences of our actions will be; it is Complex, as a greater number of variables of different categories coexist; and is Ambiguous, because we can not “read” clearly what is happening and therefore do a consistent interpretation.

It is necessary to put into play new skills to lead successfully in VUCA times (Volatility-Uncertainty-Complexity-Ambiguety). Leaders must accept and learn new ways to achieve the objectives of organizations. In this programme we analyze your leadership profile and look for your development points to obtain a VUCA leader profile.

An International Master in Leadership programme is more than just another credential to add to your CV; at EADA Business School, we believe it is a process of transformation. Time and time again, our graduates tell us that they are not the same person as when they started the programme. It is our pleasure to guide you through this journey in which you will learn, develop and grow as a professional and as a person.

With more than 60 years of experience, EADA has a solid reputation built on international rankings and accreditations. Our highly practical methodology is based on work in small, multicultural groups and personalised follow-up by experienced faculty. Our faculty have extensive managerial experience in top companies, and are trained in effectively linking theory to professional practice in the classroom.

The team behind the International Master in Leadership programme is here to support and guide you through your development to obtain a VUCA leader profile. As the Dean of Programmes, I will ensure that you are challenged and that you get the most out of your time here.

I look forward to seeing you at EADA!

The MIL develops you as an individual, providing an

integral mix of solid knowledge, critical thinking,

Held in our Collbató Residential Training Campus, EADA has been

pioneering the use of an on-site outdoor training methodology in its

programmes in order to promote the development of people-focused competences.

Outdoor training is the most appropriate methodology for developing skills due to

its experiential nature, best recreating the working environment and bringing the

physical, emotional and spiritual elements into play, which we should consider in our

daily business decisions.

Applied methodology carried out by excellent teachers and professionals,

with a group of students from different cultures, which makes possible a real

and applicable learning in different realities

Moisés MaislinMarketing Director, Volvo México, 2017

“My two weeks at EADA were very intense. The experience was a positive one – it provided me with the

Francisco Manzano Manager, Mavesa

“The programme is very practical – we spent some time

in the classroom, but a lot more time in the outdoor

training facilities. This helped build relationships

with classmates, and led to more participation, and

ultimately, to a better learning experience. The case

studies involving role-plays allowed me to experience

complex situations that I hadn’t seen in my day-to-day

work. I learned to understand different perspectives

and manage conflict effectively. Everything I learned is

applicable to my role as a manager.

I had the opportunity to obtain a joint degree, and,

more importantly, to reinforce my leadership skills,

which is, in the end, what allows me to connect and

grow in the corporate world.”

Learn how to work with the contradictions and paradoxes, that

increasingly come with navigating the VUCA world, rather than railing against them.

Keep learning: let go of a lot of what defined success in prior roles and

organizational models and be prepared to learn a whole new set of skills.

making an impact on teams but especially on people inside the organisation in order

to achieve high levels of motivations and hence extraordinary results

the variables that contribute to the efficacy and efficiency of people and of the

business

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

LEADING IN A VUCA WORLDIn the current VUCA environment of global change, transformation is necessary for the very survival of any organisation. We identify the competences that leaders need in VUCA times. Some competences are classic and endure, some others are new. We debate and understand why these new competences are so important and we explore the way we can acquire and develop them.

GLOBAL COMPASS : GEOECONOMICS & GEOPOLITICSThe world turns fast. We are surrounded by dizzying changes. Maintaining an accurate and updated map of this new global age, of the political and economic trends that are shaping today’s world, is a daunting challenge. In such a vibrant global context, considering geopolitics and geoeconomics and other power shift trends (social, technological, demographic) is key to design and execute a successful business strategy.

DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION AND DESIGN THINKINGThe need to innovate is clear but the solution to that disruption is not evident. The disruptive thinking is needed to be able to look at your current and future businesses from a new perspective, a growth perspective focused on the real need of people HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAM OVER THE FIELDWe perform and analyze the way teams work when they are out of their context. Developing inspiring team and people leadership capable of making an impact on teams but especially on people inside the organisation in order to achieve high levels of motivations and hence extraordinary results. The leader must be able to manage this team talent and provide the team with the space and the optimum conditions for its development and performance.

NEGOTIATION IN A GLOBAL SCALENegotiation is among the most valued competencies in business, since it includes developing other competencies like assertive communication, active listening, analytical capacity and conflict management. A framework for conflict handling and negotiation will help you as a leader to develop important skills for managing rational and emotional conflicts, and become the effective leader your team and your organisation needs in a variety of contexts.
