I’m delighted to welcome you to Whitireia New Zealand (Whitireia). Whitireia, “the school of many faces”, is a highly successful tertiary institution reflecting the ethnic richness and values of our community.

This prospectus will help you make choices about your future. It provides information on the many options available at Whitireia.

We offer a wide range of courses and programmes, including nine degrees, leading to many different career options. Our student success rates are among the highest in the sector.

All staff are dedicated to providing you with an education that will support your chosen career and ensure you have the right skills to begin working in New Zealand. We strive to support all students and provide a range of services to ensure a safe, but interesting environment for living and learning.

About WhitireiaWhitireia is a Government owned and funded tertiary institute of technology, known for its high student success rate and culturally diverse student body. Established in 1986, on the shores of the Porirua harbour, Whitireia has grown to become a tertiary institution of choice for over 8,500 students, who now study at one of seven contemporary campuses in Auckland, Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti.

In 2014, over 100 programmes of study are being offered to students, covering certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate levels. All of our programmes have been developed in conjunction with industry, to offer excellent applied qualifications.

Internationally recognised, all programmes are of a practical and applied nature offering students first hand industry experience with real-life projects and internships.

Pathway opportunities allow students to staircase from Certificate, or Diploma and gain credits towards an undergraduate degree. Whitireia is committed to the welfare of international students to ensure a high professional standard of quality is provided.
