MMU Institute of Postgraduate Multimedia Medical Education MMU uses multimedia and ICT to find better ways of teaching medicine. This open access global postgraduate medical education facility has students enrolled in the Family medicine and geriatrics streams, with faculties in Australia, Middle East countries and the USA. Multimedia also allows for interactive video and animation and true interactivity as well as tracking, scoring and a variety of other educational formats. MMU delivers postgraduate medical education in a Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuing Professional development (CDP). It also makes the learning experience enjoyable, which assists in the retention of information and education. The use of a QA&CPD approach, now used in preference to CME in advanced countries, allows education providers and users to fully evaluate the education supplied. The QA process uses a pre and post test and an evaluation module, and providers of QA must show improved learning levels. This way educational outcomes are ‘guaranteed'. MMU uses academic authors and the world experts on each medical topic allowing us to bring you the best medical education from all global sources. International sessions are conducted by Skype (which can be downloaded free) on a one to one basis. MMU was born from a Middle East – Australia collaboration and has courseware contributors from Australia, the Middle East and the world. It is a genuine attempt to provide the highest quality medical education, at affordable prices, to overcome a world shortage of doctors. It is also a genuine collaboration of like-minded people and organisations with a view to providing parity and equity of healthcare for all people of the world. Open for enrolment: MMU currently has international students in Geriatrics and General Practice streams.
