Researchers’ position and period of stay at Waseda University

● Visiting Scholar ｜Researchers who hold academic qualifications equal to or higher than a full-time lecturer of Waseda University (up to one year)

● Research Fellow ｜Researchers who hold academic degrees equal to or higher than a Master’s degree, such as Ph.D. candidates (up to one year)

● Research Intern ｜Researchers currently enrolled in the Master’s program at an overseas university (up to ninety days)

Throughout the year, Waseda University welcomes researchers who fulfill the following criteria.

・Researchers who are affiliated with an academic institution overseas, and have been recommend- ed by the head of their respective department

・Researchers who are able to engage in research and educational activities in either Japanese or English

・Researchers who have found Waseda faculty members who agreed with joint research with them * This program is designed for research promotion. For this reason, the participants are not allowed to enroll in courses or pursue credits under this program.

Aiming to nurture researchers and boost research capabilities of Waseda University, the University employs prominent researchers around the world and promotes their collaborative research activities. When researchers from overseas academic institu-tions come to Japan and engage in research projects at Waseda, the International Scholar Services (ISS) supports them to enter/stay in Japan for the purpose.

早稲田大学における研究者の資格名称と滞在期間

●訪問学者 ｜本学の専任講師以上に相当する資格を有する者（1年以内）

●リサーチフェロー ｜博士候補生等、修士の学位以上を取得した者（1年以内）

●リサーチインターン｜外国の大学において修士課程に在籍する者（90日以内）

早稲田大学では、以下の要件を満たす研究者を年間を通じて受け入れています。

・国外の大学または研究機関等に所属し、所属機関長から推薦を受けられること

・日本語または英語で研究・教育活動を行うことが可能であること

・早稲田大学で研究を行う受入教員がいること

※ 研究を目的とする制度であり、授業への出席や単位の履修はできません。

し、本学研究者との共同研究活動を推進しています。外国人研究者受入プログラム

（ISS）は、海外の大学・研究機関に所属する研究者が、来日し本学で研究活動を行
