The science department at the International School of Arts and

Sciences mission is to advance learning and knowledge by

linking theory and practice in all disciplines, and to prepare

students for lifelong learning, leadership and careers in a

changing multicultural world.

At the science department we follow the American Standards,

by the end of each year (grade level) all our students will

know the basic concepts of Biology, Chemistry, Physics,

Earth, and Space sciences and will be able to apply scientific

skills.

Grades six, seven, and eight, will be doing Science, using Fusion Harcourrt books (selected units).

Grades ten to twelve as the following:

We make sure that all students should do 4 main core subjects during their high school studies (including Mathematics)

A minimum of one science Fair will be done during the academic year. Due this event students display their researches which are based on the scientific method, or projects to explain a scientific concept or an experiment to demonstrate.

Most of our students will be participating in so many scientific tournaments.

The science department will be doing scientific field trips, visiting different places which are related to their studies.

After school classes and activities will be done during the year.
