Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa. Led by Careers & EnterpriseThis session is for students who would like to find out more information about getting sponsored to start their own business in the UK on the Tier 1 entrepreneur visa. It will outline Queen Mary’s visa endorsement process, what makes a good application, case studies of our endorsed candidates and how to prepare and the timeline.

Tier 5 UKISIS: a new visa scheme for your future. Led by UKISISUKISIS provide visa sponsorship for Chinese nationals and Chinese speaking students from overseas countries to work for up to a year in the UK under the Tier 5 visa category. Find out how this scheme works and how you can apply to it to get short term work in the UK.

Working in the UK after graduation. Led by Careers & Enterprise and Advice & Counselling This workshop will give you an understanding of how the recruitment process operates in the UK, the timeline for applying to jobs and what employers are looking for. You will also get information on visa regulations for working after study.

Tier 5 visas for UK employment. Led by Access Tier 5 Access Tier 5 provide visa sponsorship to any non-EEA graduates to undertake work experience with UK employers by sponsoring them under the Tier 5 visa category. Find out more about this scheme and how you can get short term work in the UK through it.

LinkedIn Lab. Led by Careers & EnterpriseIn this practical workshop you will learn how to build your profile and use the key features of LinkedIn for networking and job search in the UK and overseas.

Getting internships and work in the USA – led by ParentheseThis session is for those who are looking to work in the USA. In it Parenthese will outline their J-1 visa scheme for students who wish to gain a summer job, a student internship or an internship after graduation in the United States. You will learn how to search for and apply to opportunities through the scheme.

Improve your English for UK job interviews. Led by the Language centreThis workshop will look at the type of language you need to use in UK job interviews. It will raise your awareness of language commonly used in interviews and will look at some model answers. There will also be an opportunity for you to practise your answers.
