– Every opportunity is provided for studentsto practise English.

– Mentor Program gives students the opportunity to mix with students of allages and all cultures.

– House System provides an environment in which all students are well known and wellcared for which promotes integration into the Australian culture.

– Full board accommodation offered by an Englishspeaking family or a couple of any nationality, for which a set weekly fee is charged.

– A chance to fully immerse yourself in another culture and language, an excellentway to improve English and learn about Australian culture.

– Students’ Homestay families speak English.

– International students are approximately5.5% of the student population,encouraging full integration into the school community.

– Multicultural and global educationis emphasised in academic programsthroughout the school.

– Students are required to first study at a specialised English Language School before starting classes at BlackburnHigh School.
