The University of Lodz
University of Lodz has signed about 600 agreements.
Every year the incoming exchange students number is increasing.
Last year we hosted 300 students. This year we have about 370 new students for
the winter semester only!
STUDENT EXCHANGE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LODZ
University of Lodz offers programmes, courses and trips designed especially for exchange students:
• Trips around Łódź (organised by ESN, ISO
and Mr Rudziński – Polish lecturer)
• Polish Language Course - 4 ECTS
• Module „Poland – History, Culture and Society” - 4 ECTS
Poland – History, Culture and Society
This course offers to incoming exchange students a chance of getting important and interesting information about
our country.
You can receive 4 ECTS for this course. Credits awarded only when exam is passed.
Course book to pick up at the International Students
Office.
STUDENT’S ID CARD
Student’s ID Card allows you to enter the University’s Library, Sport
Centre and to travel with a half-price ticket.
Always remember to take your
Student’s ID Card with you!
Payment: 17 zł (made at a cash desk (KASA) –
3/5 Lindleya Street, ground floor).
Student leaves proof of payment and one photo at ISO.
Pick up your ID card at the FACULTY – Dean’s Office.

Presentation of student forms and ECTS documents necessary for completing the study period
at the University of Lodz

Changes to LA is a modified programme of study abroad with ECTS credits.
This document must be created with the help of the Mobility Exchange Coordinator at your
Faculty of the University of Lodz until
21 October 2013
The document must be first signed by:
1. your Faculty
Erasmus/Mobility coordinator at UL
and then by
2. the Institutional ECTS coordinator
(Prof. Artur Gałkowski)
Evaluation Sheet (ES)
ES is the official record of achievement at the University of Lodz with your personal data, local
grades and signature of the teacher for each course; it grounds for Transcript of Records (TR).
You submit the ES to each lecturer/professor after the whole set of courses or after the exam
(in January/February 2014).
ES is finally signed by your Departmental Erasmus/Mobility
Coordinator.
Lecturers give a local grade.
Evaluation Sheet is a necessary document to issue Transcript of
Records (TR).
Transcript of Records (TR)
Filled in at the Dean’s Office and then signed by the dean of the faculty.
You take the TR with you or it is sent to your University so as the course of the study is
recognized by your university.
Local grading scale
During or after the course of the study or after the exam, written or
oral, you can get the following grades:
5 (bdb) very good = ECTS equivalent is A
4+ (db+) better than good => B
4 (db) good => C
3+ (dst+) better than satisfactory => D
3 (dst) satisfactory => E
2 (ndst) unsatisfactory (fail) => FX, F
