I have been part of the International Student Program for the past year. I would like to thank the staff and administration for making me feel so welcome from the very beginning. I enjoy working with them because of their motivation and dedication. Everyone works together for the best interests of the students. I’m honored to be part of Santiago Canyon College’s International Student Program.

This is my second year studying at SCC and I’m grateful for all the opportunities; which includes making new friends, having fun at club activities, becoming a part of the SCC Women’s Volleyball Team, and my role as a student assistant at the International Students Office. My major is Communications and I plan on transferring to a California State University. I have enjoyed every moment on this campus and am very thankful for my experiences at Santiago Canyon College.

I am a Biology major and have been attending SCC for four semesters. I plan on transferring to California State University, Long Beach.

I really like SCC. The faculty and staff have been so friendly and supportive whenever I needed any help. During the past two years, this college has never failed to impress me. I have made many good friends and learned a lot. Also, the class sizes are small which is what I like most about SCC.

My name is Borislav Mavrov and I’m from Bulgaria.

I am a Computer Science major and I’ve been in SCC for six semesters. What I really like about SCC is the attitude of all the staff: everyone is very friendly, extremely helpful, and really oriented towards providing everything you need to succeed. Something else that attracted my attention was the buildings, which are pretty brand new. Another advantage, the class sizes are a little smaller than ordinary universities which allows you to communicate with professors more often and effectively.

I am planning to start Optional Practical Training (OPT) program this year but after that, I’m planning to transfer to Cal State Fullerton.

My name is Shaoran Li and I’m from China.

I am a Material Science major and I have been at SCC for five semesters. I am satisfied with the facilities on campus and feel they are good.

I am planning to transfer to the University of California, Irvine, or San Diego. Generally, I want to attend the UC system because they are research based universities.

My name is Veronica Gheller and I’m from Italy.I am a Sociology major and have been at SCC for four semesters.

I visited several different colleges and observed a few of them; this campus attracted me the most, especially because of the international students program. Also, Santiago Canyon College’s faculty are so caring and nice.

I am planning to transfer to a California State University or Chapman University, but I am keeping my options open depending on scholarship opportunities.

My name is Sherry, and I come from China. I have been studying at SCC for two and half years: majoring in Liberal Arts.

I benefitted most from the American College English courses, which significantly improved my English skills. SCC’s instructors are very friendly and helpful; whenever I had questions, they explained the answer clearly. In addition, they give every lecture with passion and vividness. Under the illuminative direction of SCC professors, I really enjoyed the harmonious atmosphere of small class sizes and cultivating capabilities of intelligent classmates. Ultimately, through my endeavor, I have been admitted to University of California, Irvine, and Santa Barbra. Nonetheless, I want to express appreciation for all the assistance the staff at Santiago Canyon College provided to me.
