How can you go?

Exchange:

• AU allocates positions – and we have many positions!

• You can receive BSS Travel Grant/ Erasmus grant

• No tuition fees apply!

Freemover:

• You arrange contact with host institution on your own (or via agent)

• You will NOT receive the BSS Travel grant

• In most cases you need to pay tuition fees


Do you qualify?

• You must be a full time student at AU

• You must be an active student

• You must be able to transfer 30 ECTS per semester from your study abroad

• You must fulfill specific requirements for the partner universities you apply for

Toefl test: • Required by some partner

universities • IBT is offered in Aarhus • USD 255 • Valid for 2 years • Next Aarhus dates: • Sat., Oct 11, 2014

Finance your study abroad

Please make sure you have enough funds for a study abroad

- There will be costs in connection with a study abroad e.g. Travel expenses, insurance, higher living costs

You have a big influence on cost size – e.g. when choosing destination and living costs



BSS Travel Grant:

• 1000 DKK per incorporated ECTS above 20 ECTS

• Only 5 or 10 ECTS courses are transferred → only grant for either 5000 DKK or 10.000 DKK

• Not for Freemovers who receive Udlandsstipendium

Erasmus Grant:

• Size varies from year to year and between destinations

• App. 200-250 EURO per month of study abroad

• All students going via an Erasmus agreement

Academic Criteria

Fremdriftsreformen (Study Progress reform):

All students must sign up for a full course load for each semester of their study→

A study abroad must cover a full course load for each semester =

30 ECTS per semester


Academic Criteria

Electives:

Most study programmes have a full semester of electives for their study abroad semester.

Okay to take courses during e.g. AU Summer University in advance and take only 20 or 25 ECTS during your study abroad – but you must let us know after allocation!

Please be aware this will affect Grants and Udlandstipendium!


Academic Criteria

Mandatory courses:

BSc/HA students have mandatory courses during their 5th semester.

If courses are not available, options are:

1. Sign up for the course at AU and complete as self-study course during 5th semester

2. Complete course during 6th semester

Please be aware this will affect Grants and Udlandstipendium!

• Online appliction open 1 November 2014 Choose as many priorities as you like

• Application deadline: 1 December 2014
