- Primary source of data: Cabinet of Ministry of Energy and Mine is main section, who provides the data of capacity, generation, export, import and consumption to the Lao Department of Economics Statistics, LSB.
- Data Provider: preliminary provider is the Department of Energy Policy and Planning, MEM by administrative data system.

Data compilation- The Cabinet of MEM compiles Electricity data from the
administrative data report with checking.
- Department of Economics Statistics (DES) has received the electricity data in raw pattern (Spreadsheet format) in each period of time, and using Spreadsheet for setting up databases and analyzing.

Data control- DES check the consistency between:
- Capacity with generation.
- Generation + Import = Export + domestic sale + Own use
- Value and quantity
