ORGANIC SCHOOL GARDEN is our focus and challenge

Basic principles of organic gardening/farming /food production:• how to maintain the garden/ to farm in organic way• to increase the amount of organic matter /humus –

soil management is very important globally but especially in developing countries

• preference to local seeds and varieties• use of compost, fermented animal excrements (manure, slurry…) instead of synthetic fertilizers• green manure

HOW to produce healthy food with as little negative effects on environment/society/healthas possible!

Biodiversity around the world:• variety of crops – permaculture principles, • using local varieties (autochthonous, traditional).

Food waste:• how to reduce it,• how to feed the world fighting food waste (at

least one of third of food produced for human consumption goes to waste every year)

We have developed and tested 5 GLU.

Topics: BiodiversityHumus – amount of humus, erosionSoil management – importance of soil fertilitySeeds – world trade (corporations monopoly, diversity of seeds) Seeds – autochthonous varieties local and global, how to produce them

Further work: We want to address water issues andfood waste.New ideas, knowledge during International workshop in EXPO2015
