Driver Training NOTES:
Has 2,000 skid-tank that could be used for biodiesel storage. Pain point is fuel use accounting, where there is a lot of human error. City has an acre of land reserved for use by the schools.
Has had trouble in the past with after-market work on vehicles.
Vehicles are housed in the warehouse division. Vehicles are leased to other departments at blanket GSA rate.
Is big into “living what they teach”. Has already talked to LCCC about running an auto technician program. Might be an opportunity to do some kind of driver training run through here.Fuel use reduction is thier biggest concern.
Is not specifically interested in alternative fuels but not opposed either.
Is already producing biodiesel.
Is very interested in ROUSH Blue Bird since drivers are encouraged to attend a school bus rodeo each year.
Has very little say in vehicle specifications.
