What is Herbology? The study of magical and mundane

plants and fungi. Some magical plants form important

ingredients in potions, other have magical effects in their own right.

Students will learn to care for and utilize plants, and learn about their magical properties, and what they are used for.

Class location In the grounds of Hogwarts, in the

greenhouses. For my classes, sometimes we will do it

at Forbidden Forest to see the real dangerous plants.

Class information Herbology is a mandatory class at

Hogwarts for the first five years of education, to attempt an O.W.L in Herbology.

Herbology classes will be teach by Miss Nam Jihyun and Miss Amber Liu.

The classes will be include with plenty of hands-on activities, and also the students will be assign essays as homework.

The topic that will be learn : Intro to Herbology (which is this topic, LOL) Intro of Magical and Mundane Plants and Fungi. Biography of Neville Longbottom – One of the

famous person in Herbology Plants that have dangerous defensive mechanism: - Devil’s Snare - Whomping Willow - Venomous Tentacula - Spiky Bush/Prickly Plant - Snargaluff Plant that have dangerous defensive mechanism

and can be use for potions: -mandrake

The topic that will be learn :

Plants that can be use as potion ingredients/have magical effects:

- Fire seed bushes - Bubotuber - Shrivelfig - Aconite - Gillywater Just the plants that can move around/ have magical

abilities/ not too dangerous: - Bouncing Bulb - Mimbulus Mimbletonia

The equipment needed :For normal lectures: Your brain. Your wand. Stationery including your notebook.

If we have to do hand-on activities a.k.a planting and experimenting the plants : All the above Dragon dung compost. Dragon-hide gloves Earmuffs. Mooncalf dung.
