How do I sign up?Simply log onto your flexible benefits platform and make your selection.

Will I need to provide any more information? In some circumstances and depending on your level of cover, we may also need you to complete a health questionnaire, but this usually isn’t required.

What illnesses am I covered for?A full list of illnesses will be available through your HR department, but as a minimum you’ll be covered for:

• Cancer – excluding less advanced cases

• Heart attack – of specified severity

• Stroke – resulting in permanent symptoms

Please note, a pre-existing condition exclusion (PECE) and related condition exclusion will apply. Full details of these exclusions can be found on our website, or by clicking here.

What does my cover provide?Financial peace of mind is just one of the benefits Critical Illness Insurance provides. You’ll have access to a range of Support Services, including:

• Second Medical Opinion – an expert second opinion on almost any treatment or diagnosis

• Personal Nurse Service – long-term practical and emotional support over the phone with same qualified nurse

How will the benefit be paid?We will pay you directly, usually via bank transfer.

Are my family covered? If you have children (including step children or any who are adopted) aged under 18 years old (under 22 years old in full time education), they are automatically covered for 25% of your benefit (subject to a maximum of £20,000).

Your HR team will be able to let you know if insurance for your partner is available.

Will I still be covered if I leave the company? No. You will no longer be covered if you leave the company.
