Crosslaminatedtimber(CLT)isanengineeredwoodbuildingsystemdesignedtocomplementlight- andheavy-timberframingoptions.Becauseofitshighstrengthanddimensionalstability,itcanbeusedasanalternativetoconcrete,masonryandsteelinmanybuildingtypes.ThispresentationwillintroduceCLTwithaseriesofprojectexamplesthatdemonstrateitsuseandassociatedbenefitsinarangeofapplications.Informationonmanufacturing,specificationandcode-relatedconsiderationswillalsobediscussed.
