The BASE Program is for business owners, entrepreneurs and innovators interested in building, acquiring, scaling or expanding a business in Canada with the possibility of immigration. The BASE Program is also for those considering the Ontario Nominee Program (OINP) Entrepreneur Stream.

Key Information

Each BASE Program will have 5-10 participants in attendance. Attendees will receive one-on-one instruction with leading business mentors in a boardroom-style environment.

The BASE Program is delivered in the Grand Innovations business community within the historic Gaslight District of Waterloo Region. The region is recognized as Canada’s leading innovation community.

Throughout the BASE Program, participants will have the opportunity to discover the vibrant and welcoming Waterloo Region. They will receive introductions and network with Canadian business, community, government and education leaders.

DocumentationAfter an applicant is accepted into the BASE Program, they will receive an email letter of acceptance from Roseview Capital Consultants. Using this letter, and a valid passport, applicants will need to obtain a Visitor Visa (also called a Temporary Resident Visa) a minimum of 60 days before the Program start-date.

We recommend that the applicant applies for the Visitor Visa as soon as they are accepted into the BASE Program.

While participants gain valuable knowledge about living and running a business in Canada, they will also have the opportunity to relax and enjoy an array of activities. Participants will explore wonderful downtown Cambridge and the Region of Waterloo.

Participants will be impressed by Grand Innovations, the technology park located within the Gaslight District, where the training will take place. They will feel inspired when visiting the University of Waterloo, world famous for its engineering and technology programs. Participants will also take walking tours of the Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College campuses.

The participants will also meet and network with potential suppliers, partners and customers, as well as influential government and education leaders.

Applicants will also have the opportunity to tour potential office space and residential sites for housing. This will give them a full picture of what it would look like to own a business and live in Canada.

On weekend downtime, participants can stay active and enjoy many outdoor and indoor activities such as canoeing down the Grand River, exploring back country scenic hiking trails, or golfing at Rockway Golf Course.

Waterloo Region is part of a larger community including the cities of Cambridge and Kitchener. It is only an hour drive away from the Greater Toronto Area, giving business owners a large pool of potential customers, clients, partners and investors.

Accommodation

The participant’s 3-week stay in Canada will be a seamless, relaxing and inspiring business trip. Accommodation cost is the responsibility of the participant. Attractive rental packages are available for long term visits. Longer visits can be facilitated.

Breakfast is included in the package and some lunches and dinners are provided. For meals outside of the program, there are many restaurants located within walking distance from the campus and beside the hotel.

Transportation to and from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport is included in the package. Daily shuttle service to and from the hotel to the campus is also provided.
