Method

1.Questionnaire survey five times from 1995 to 2001, Out of a total of 810 people surveyed, 200 responded.

3.Lectures were evaluated as listened at critical situation, as Endo(Gymnastics), Inao(pitcher) and Mori(catcher) because of my stressful experiences in sport life.

1. Case study in childhood and school:

Cases of both activation and inhibition were found in baseball in prefectures such as Akita, Nagano, Chiba, and Tottori. Fathers' involvement in coaching baseball has both favorable and unfavorable effects on their children.

2. Written answers that supported my experiences:

A case in which a tennis player was provided with significant motivation by the school principal was reported, while there were examples in which training on the horizontal bar deteriorated the relationships between teachers and their male and female students. On the other hand, one athlete remembered that his high school teacher discovered his talents in the horizontal bar.

3. Spiritual enhancement and guidance in the community:

The histories of excellent athletes are remembered well in the hometowns of such athletes who provided spiritual enhancement and guidance in the community.

4. Cases of Olympic athletes:

Recent:

Yuko Arimori, who won a silver medal at the 1992

Barcelona Olympics and a bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, marked an era as a female runner. One of those from Okayama, Arimori's hometown, highly evaluated her achievements. Ryoko Tamura and Naoko Takahashi, who won the gold medal in the women’s marathon at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, are Olympic gold medallists known for their displays of inner energy. Some respondents specified that they were greatly impressed by Takahashi’s inner energy. She is the first gold medallist in Japan to become a professional athlete, marking the dawn of another new era in the sports world in Japan, which reached a turning point at the Tokyo Olympics.
