Advanced Decontamination Technology

Ebiox produces decontamination products that represent

the latest advances in hygiene and infection control. The

Ebiox ‘Advanced Decontamination Technology’ range has

been specifically designed to assist in the control of poten-

tially harmful pathogens and reduce the risk of cross

infection.

Delivering safe and user-friendly products has been the Ebiox mission

since its formation in the late 1990's when a need was recognized for

a range of products that could effectively clean and disinfect any wash-

able surface in the presence of soiling.

Following the successful introduction of the instrument cleaning and

surface disinfection ranges, Ebiox identified the need for a range of

hand hygiene products that were both alcohol and chlorhexidene free,

yet performed just as effectively. The Esense range of hand wash and

hand rub products are proven to be as effective as alcohol-based

products yet without the perceived skin damaging side effects, or the

storage issues associated with highly flammable chemicals.

Continual Research and Development at Ebiox is central to solving the

many factors that can affect the performance requirements of a

hygiene product, and to creating products that are safe and pleasant

to use that in turn encourages compliance with best hygiene protocols.

The Esense range has been independently tested to prove its efficacy

and all referenced data is available on request. Compliance with hand

hygiene protocols has increased with focus on the issues and educa-

tion, however there remains scope for improvement. One of the key

reasons still stated for non-compliance is the dislike of using products

that can dry and irritate the skin. Ebiox non-alcohol based products

Environmental Hygiene:

Two requirements - one solution. The development of the Ebiox environ-

mental hygiene products resulted in formulations that include surfactants

to achieve soil removal but also include a blend of actives that have

proved to be extremely effective against both gram positive and gram

negative bacteria, fungi and viruses, and is tuberculocidal. The Trionic

range is available in wipes, spray, and concentrate formats to suit all

healthcare professionals, for both medical devices and equipment, and

hard surfaces.

Hand Hygiene:

It is well recognised that good hand hygiene practice is the single, most

effective means of preventing healthcare associated infections. Esense™

Hand Wash removes transient organisms as well as reducing resident

organisms to a 'safe' level. Esense non-alcohol based Hands Rubs are

Instrument Cleaning:

The cleaning of surgical instruments is of critical importance and is the

essential prerequisite to disinfection and sterilisation. The patented range
