Techno-Constructivism Use of information by an educator through

computer technology that goes beyond comfort and fluency. A Techno-Constructivist is one who empowers others to use technology to develop a deeper understanding of a subject area using technology. The burden is shifted from the teacher to the learner and the instructor becomes more of a coach and evaluator, than a presenter. The teaching style shifts toward a project-based learning domain.

Techno-Constructivism Technology doesn’t teach students.

Rather, learners use technology to teach themselves and others.

Technology allows learners to engage in: Knowledge construction, not

reproduction Production not consumption Articulation not repetition
