Brighter is Better Giggle Day The Giggle Day was incredibly well supported yesterday, raising $400 for Camp Quality’s 1000kms for Cancer Ride. The ride saw 35 cyclists riding from Dream World on the Gold Coast to Newcastle. Students were enthralled with the Camp Quality puppeteers who delivered a message about how we can support kids with cancer through knowledge, medicine and the power of positive thinking. The Inverell Public School community were honoured to have this great event pass through our school and would like to thank Camp Quality organisers for giving us a wonderful presentation. Chess Last Friday, 15 eager students travelled to Tamworth for a one day chess Tournament. There were 150 students in total competing from a number of schools all over the North West region. Students competed in teams of 3 against other schools. Each of our teams experienced mixed success but came away very satisfied with their efforts and are much improved chess players. Students are eager to participate in weekly games as part of our Chess Club. week. Mrs Jerrard talked to the class about

growing up at Goonoowigall and what it was

like to live there. They asked the Elder many

questions and really enjoyed the visit .

4A would like to thank Mrs Jerrard for visiting and

Miss Jerrard for organising her mum to visit.
