Traffic Decongestion Program


6.90 km – 4 lane elevated expressway from

the end point of NAIA Expressway Phase I to

PAGCOR Entertainment City.

It will provide access to NAIA Terminals 1, 2

and 3 as well as an interface with the Skyway

and Cavitex.

Will reduce travel time between Skyway and

Terminal 1 from 24 minutes to 8 minutes.

Will benefit 80,000 travelers per day.

Project Cost: P20.45 B ($409.11 M)

Schedule: 2014-2017


Widening/Concreting of 3.24 kilometers

section of Radial Road 10 (R-10) into 6 lanes

road including lateral and cross drainage.

2,107 Informal Settler Families (ISFs)

were relocated and 427 ISFs availed financial

assistance.

Will reduce travel time between Manila and

Navotas City from 1hour to 30 minutes.

Project Cost: P378.18 M ($7.56 M)

Schedule: 2006-2017


5.65 km -6 lanes elevated expressway connecting

McArthur Highway and C-3.

It will utilize the existing PNR railroad tracks that cut

across Valenzuela City & Malabon City.

Will decongest Metro Manila by providing access to

NLEX without passing through EDSA or the

Balintawak Toll Plaza and improve movement of

cargo between NLEX and Radial Road 10.

Project Cost: P9.00 B ($ 180.05 M)

Schedule: 2014-2017


8 km- four lane expressway from C3 Road in

Caloocan City to PUP, Sta. Mesa, Manila and

will connect to common alignment of Skyway

Stage 3.

Will reduce travel time between SLEX and

NLEX from 1.5 - 2 hours to 15 - 20 minutes.

Will reduce travel time between Clark and

Calamba from 3 hours to 1 hour and 40

minutes.

14.8km - 6lane expressway that will connect

Balintawak, Quezon City to Buendia, Makati

Will decongest EDSA and other major roads

in Metro Manila (e.g., Quezon Ave., Araneta

Ave., Nagtahan, Quirino Ave) by as much as

55,000 vehicles daily.

Will reduce travel time from Buendia to

Balintawak from 2 hours to 15 to 20 minutes

Project Cost: P37.43 B ($748.79M)

Schedule: 2015-2018


Construction/widening of two (2) bridges,

rehabilitation/concreting of existing 7.46 kms

road with provision of additional two lanes,

including construction of 2-meter wide

planting strips and 3 meter bike lane.

Will reduce travel time from Taytay via C-5 to

Bicutan from 1 hour to 30 minutes via Laguna

Lake Highway.


Schedule: 2013-2018


34 kms - 6-lanes expressway from Skyway FTI,

Paranaque City to Batasan, Quezon City.

Its alignment will connect to Skyway Stage 1

at FTI, towards C5/Diego Silang, going

towards Laguna de Bay, intersecting Ortigas

extension at Tikling intersection in Antipolo

City midway, crossing Marcos Highway and

terminating in Batasan Complex.


Schedule: 2016-2020


50 expressway that will connect Bataan with

Metro Manila and providing direct access to

the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga.

City Flood Control in the coastal waters of

Navotas City.

Coastal Sea Barrier through the northern

part of Manila Bay covering the coastal areas

of Bulacan, Pampanga and Bataan.

Project Cost: P399.66 B ($7,995.28 M)


88.85-km expressway from Tarlac City to

Rosario, La Union.

Will reduce travel time between Tarlac City

and Rosario, La Union from 3.5 hours to 1

hour.



Schedule: 2010-2018


30 km –four lane expressway from Tarlac City

to Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

Will reduce travel time between Tarlac City

and Cabanatuan City from 70 minutes to 20

minutes.

Will benefit 11,200 motorists per day.

Decongest traffic by about 48% passing thru

Daang Maharlika


Schedule: 2016-2020


44.2 km – four lane expressway with 8

interchanges and 12,207 lm bridges

(inclusive of 4,618 lm viaduct)

Will connect CAVITEX in Kawit, Cavite

and SLEX-Mamplasan interchange in

Biñan, Laguna.

Will reduce travel time between CAVITEX

and SLEX from 1.5 hours to 45 minutes

56.87 km – 4 lane expressway extension from

Sto. Tomas, Batangas to Tayabas / Lucena,

Quezon

Will facilitate faster and safer travel to Laguna,

Batangas, Quezon and Bicol Region.

Will reduce travel time from Sto. Tomas,

Batangas to Lucena, Quezon from 4 hrs to 1

hour.

Will benefit 17,000 travelers per day

180 kilometer expressway that will start

about two (2) kilometers from the end of

the proposed TR-4 project and will end

before the start of the proposed

Camarines Sur Expressway.

To provide a direct and fast route

between both provinces, the trade of

goods will also prosper not only between

Quezon and Bicol but also in the

Northern part of Luzon because travel

time for trucks will be reduced.


Four (4) lane divided underpass along Senator

Gil Puyat Avenue passing through the Makati

Avenue and Paseo de Roxas intersections.

Underpass/Covered tunnel-570m; approaches

and At-grade Transition-310m (Length = 880 m)

It will relieve traffic congestion along EDSA,

Kalayaan Ave and Osmena Highway in Makati

City and nearby C-5 Road, Pres Quirino Ave and

Roxas Boulevard.

Four (4) lane 2nd level flyover along Gov.

Forbes St. from Alcantara St. crossing Fajardo

St., Loyola St., Espana Blvd., and Laong Laan

St. and down ramp at mid-point of Maria Clara

St. and Aragon St. in the City of Manila.

It also involves the construction of a 433 lm

down ramp along Dimasalang St. and road

improvement along Espana Blvd. (1,600 m)

The project will benefit from the reduction of

intersection delays using at-grade controlled C-

2/R-7 intersection.

Project Cost: P2.30B ($46.01 M)

Lawton Ave.-Global City Viaduct:

337 m – 4 lane viaduct structure traversing

Lawton Avenue onwards to the entrance of

Bonifacio Global City in Makati City.

Will decongest traffic from EDSA and C-5

particularly along the section of Guadalupe

Bridge and Bagong Ilog Bridge respectively.

Construction of a 4-lane 3rd Level Flyover at

the intersection of EDSA and Taft Ave.

It starts between F.B. Harrison and Roxas

Blvd. and ends from near approach of Tramo

left turning flyover on EDSA. 1,696 m

(Northbound), 1,046 m (Southbound).

Travel time will be reduced by half to cross the

intersection.


DPWH has put the project on hold to give way

to the construction of NAIA Expressway Phase

II.


1,844 m - 4 lane viaduct along C-5/Katipunan

Avenue, Quezon City

Travel time in Katipunan and CP Garcia will

be reduced by 80%.

Will mitigate vehicle congestion in the C-

5/Katipunan areas since the viaduct will cater

all the thru traffic skipping the choke points

along the Ateneo and Miriam schools, and the

intersection of CP Garcia Avenue, as well as

UP Town Center.


Schedule: 2017-2019


9.96-km bypass road including 4 bridges, drainage

facilities, and slope stabilization works.

Traverses the municipalities of Balagtas, Guiguinto,

Plaridel, Bustos and San Rafael in Bulacan and

connects NLEX in Balagtas, Bulacan with Maharlika

Highway in San Rafael, Bulacan.

Will reduce average travel time between Burol,

Balagtas and Maasim, San Rafael in Bulacan from 69

minutes to 24 minutes.

Will benefit 15,132 motorists per day.

Construction of 23 km long bridges linking the

Visayas islands of Panay, Guimaras and Negros.

Estimated Project Cost: P21.67B ($433.51 M)

Project Duration: Six Years


Construct/improve logistics infrastructure

network in Northern Mindanao, Davao,

SOCSARGEN and CARAGA (Length-2,074 km)

Aims to enhance the agribusiness

competitiveness in Mindanao by developing an

intermodal logistics system that will address

the constraints caused by high cost of transport

and inadequate logistics infrastructure, among

others.

Cagayan River:

Revetment structures for the most eroded river banks

located at Brgy. Alibago and Cataggaman, Tuguegarao City

to address serious bank erosion resulting to loss of valuable

lands in the targeted areas of Tuguegarao City and parts of

Cagayan Province.

Tagoloan River:

Construction of river dikes and partial excavation of river

channel together with drainage channel improvement.

Imus River:

Construction of two (2) off-site retarding basins along Imus

River and Bacoor River located in Brgy. Buhay na Tubig and

Brgy. Anabu.


Schedule: 2016-2019


Earth dike: 11,928 meters (left and right bank);

Concrete Flood Wall: 3,259 meters (left and right bank)

including 1,449 meters reinforced concrete/masonry slope

protection;

Gates and Drainage Outlets: 3 steel slide gates; 19 flap gates;

3 reinforced concrete box culverts; 18 reinforced pipe culverts;

and 1 reinforced concrete headwall;

Retarding basins: preserved 97 hectares of natural retarding

basin; developed 13 hectares of natural retarding basin;

New Road and Raising of Existing Road for Evacuation:

hectares (ha) to 23,780 ha;

Will reduce flood depth from 1.4-2.9 m to 0.6-1.4 m;

Will shorten flood duration from 66 days to 17 days.

The rehabilitation of super structure of Quezon

Bridge, along Quezon Boulevard Extension has

major scope of work underneath the steel bridge

which involved sand blasting, replacement of fire

damaged structural components and painting of

structural steel members, installation of carbon

fiber.

The scope on the bridge proper are asphalt

overlay, application of epoxy on deck slab, repair

of steel railings & lamp post and repair & painting

of pylons including parapet walls/center island.

Project Cost: P 77.83 M ($1.56 M)

Schedule: March 2016-February 2017


Replacement of outer bridges amd

replacement of substructure

including foundation of inner bridge

of Guadalupe Bridge.

Replacement of Lambingan Bridge

with vertical geometry improvement
