Continuing Education Seminar Investment Strategy with Sustainable Investments There are different sustainability issues and also different SRI approaches guiding institutional investors to tackle these challenges. This presents both a risk and opportunity and this presentation aims to show how an institutional investor (pension fund) can integrate sustainability into the investment strategy. The following topics will be covered during the presentation. Possible sustainable investment strategies for different asset classes The implications of sustainability within the context of investment strategy of a pension fund How sustainable investment approach can be implemented into portfolio management (institutional investor’s perspective Speaker: Christoph Müller écon. lic. phil., Président Commission de placement, Nest Fondation collective Christoph Müller is a specialist in investment policy and tactical asset allocation for institutional clients in Switzerland and is managing partner of the independent investment consulting company FourA. He has 15 years of experience in sustainable investment and chairs the investment committee of Nest, a Swiss pension fund. Furthermore he is the chairman of the board of Inrate, a Swiss sustainability rating and research agency. Prior to this, he presided over an investment foundation and for many years, and has worked for the economic research center at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) as well as Director of their international economic research department. Christoph also worked as senior economist at HSBC Guyerzellerbank AG. He holds a masters degree in political economics from the University of Zurich, where he worked as an assistant and lecturer. Speaker: Ulla Enne, specialist en placement, Nest Fondation collective Following the completion of her studies in international relations at the institute of international and development studies in Geneva, Ulla worked six years in Private Banking, where she pursued the MAS program in Finance at the University of Zurich. During these studies she focused on socially responsible investments (SRI) in general and more specifically on microfinance. After completing the master of advanced studies in Finance she deepened her knowledge in the field of SRI during a year-long assistantship at the Center for Microfinance, Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich. Since 2014 she works as a specialist in SRI within the investment team at Nest representing the association Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) as group leader of the SSF work group institutional asset owners.
