Decode the MessageWhen a Secret Agent needs to send an important message, the Agent might use a code!

One way to do this is to assign a number or symbol to each letter of the alphabet (this is called a key), then only give this key to the person receiving the message. Using the key below, crack the top-secret

code that reveals the name of the case that Splat must solve in Secret Agent Splat!

This is what you’ll need:

• Lemon juice (you can also use grapefruit juice, milk, or even baking powder mixed with water!)

• A piece of white paper

• A cotton swab

• Scrap paper

• An iron (and an adult to help you use it!)

Write your message on a piece of paper using the cotton swab dipped in lemon juice. Since it will be hard to see what you’re writing, be sure to take your time and write clearly.

To see what you’ve written, ask an adult to place your message between two sheets of scrap paper and then, using an iron and an ironing board, apply the warm iron to the papers. Voilà! Your message will appear!
