You can use “ir + a + infinitive” to extend invitations as well. For example:

“Quieres ir conmigo a _________”“do you want to go to _______ with

me?”

“Quieres ir al parque conmigo” → Do you want to go to the park with me?

Las respuestas

If you say no to someone’s invitation, it’s polite to tell them why by saying:“No puedo ir contigo porque ____________ (reason)”

béisbol. - No puedo ir contigo porque tengo un partido de fútbol- No puedo ir contigo porque tengo que comer con mi

madre

When you are finished, raise your hand so that Señorita Puckett can check your work and give you stamps for today. After you have received credit, you may e-mail the work to yourself or close out of it. Then you are free to complete your Duolingo for the rest of class.

To fill in the chart on the next slide with body part vocabulary, you will need to use the website WordReference. The link is here: www.wordreference.com.

Once you are there, type the word you want to know into the search box. The first word that comesup is the correct one. Write that word in the appropriate box on the next slide.
