INVITATION LETTER

The Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) in cooperation with the European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region of WAGGGS is pleased to invite your National Scout Organisation/Member Organisation to take part in the European Jamboree.

The European Jamboree – a new, inspiring Scout and Guide adventure awaits you in the summer of 2020. After the last Eurojam in 2005 in the United Kingdom, the European Jamboree returns to gather young people from all over Europe and the world in Gdańsk, Poland to celebrate Scout and Guide values, strengthen our international community and provide young people with the opportunity to meet and learn from each other. Mark your calendars now to save the date from 27th July to 6th August 2020, and register your national contingent for the European Jamboree in 2020!

Educational Motto: ACTEvery Scout and Guide possesses potential to become a driver of social change. They are all invited to come to the Jamboree and discover their power! Scouts and Guides will inter-ACT with others of various cultures, of various languages and various countries. They will learn through adventures, eye-opening discussions, and inspiring workshops. They will discover their power and find out where their helping hands are needed. Scouts and Guides will have a chance to ACT using their new skills and make a change in the society.

ParticipantAll Scouts and Guides aged between 14 to 18 at the time of the event (Scouts and Guides must have been born after 26th July 2002 and no later than in 2006).

DatesThe European Jamboree 2020 will take place from 27th July to 6th August 2020.

VenueGdańsk (Sobieszewo Island), Poland.

Key deadlines for National Scout Organisations/Member Organisations outside of The European Scout Region of WOSM and The Europe Region of WAGGGS

Please note that some of the following key deadlines are different to deadlines applicable to National Scout Organisations/Member Organisations of the European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region of WAGGGS.

Fees and payment schedule for Member Organisations outside of the European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region of WAGGGS

The participation fee is 1850 PLN for participants and 1200 PLN for ISTs. Please note that the participation fee will be collected in PLN (Polish Zloty).

Please note that the fee for NSOs/MOs outside of the European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region of WAGGGS are not discounted by country category. However, exceptions are allowed and requests regarding fees should be addressed to the Jamboree Planning Team for individual consideration by email at [email protected].


The payment schedule is as follows:

DepositA deposit will be applied to the contingent concerned, not individuals. You may, therefore, change names or the category of your registration (e.g. change names of 3 people or delete 1 CMT and add 1 IST) till 31st of March 2020. Please note that the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Late registration surchargeThe final payment must be received in full for all registered contingent members before 31st of March 2020. Any payments arriving later, late registrations of additional members, or changes of names will be subject to an additional 5% late surcharge.

Two bulletins were also already circulated to National Scout Organisations/Member Organisations of the European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region of WAGGGS where you can find more information: Bulletin no. 1 (from 14th December 2017) and Bulletin no. 2 (from 25th May 2018). Although, please note that regarding some of the key deadlines you should refer to the ones from this Circular, as they differ from the key deadlines applicable to MO/NSO of The European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region of WAGGGS.
