The Association for Water and Rural Development (AWARD) focuses on issues of socio-environmental sustainability and is working on a project to build resilience within the Olifants River catchment. A number of stakeholders have suggested the impact of trucks coming out of the mines in Phalaborwa is wider than anticipated. AWARD has agreed to host an initial public consultation to scope the issues by providing an opportunity for people to voice questions and concerns. This may lead to further dialogue with concerned parties.
