We can keep the Recycling Center open by donating funds or volunteering!

With heavy hearts, we are closing the drop off center 11/17/18 because the recyclable values have dropped so much (by half and more). Immediate needs:

1. $1000 donated every month. Our operating expenses total $2500 per month (excluding maintenance). The $1000 would cover the labor cost. Would there be any businesses that could sponsor us during this tough season?

2. Ideally long term, $2000 per month donated would create 2 part time jobs and help create an emergency fund to keep up with the work. Sorting & baling.

3. Volunteers. We need 2 people to donate their time during open hours to sort recyclables and help load them into the baler.

4. A hilo driver on Wednesdays 2p-5p or Saturdays between 9a-1p

Thank you for your time. Beth Peabody | Recycle Ionia Inc | recycleionia.org | phone: 616-902-4555
