Welcome to our villa Ionian Pearl. Newly built has been designed to offer you

maximum comfort.

Soundproof windows, independently controlled air-conditioning, direct phone

line, wireless fast Internet connection, satellite TV, safety deposit boxes and many

more facilities will give you all to make you consider it your own home.

Please, read carefully this booklet to fully understand all facilities and services we

have to offer.

This booklet is divided into 4 chapters; each describes different facility or service.

For fast information, simply check the next page of contents.

Bedroom A (ALPHA)

This bedroom has walk-in shower for two persons. Before turning the tap on make sure that

the water temperature is safe (not too hot). The right tap operates the large overhead

shower as well as three jets on the right. The left tap operates a large overhead shower as

well as the flexible shower head on the left. After shower make sure that the shower crystal

door is firmly closed in order to avoid any accidents.

Warning! Floor slippery when wet.

The security door leading to the sun terrace of your room has a key which must be placed

from outside whenever you are getting out otherwise you will lock yourselves out.

Bedroom B (VITA)

This bedroom has the largest bathroom. Before entering the shower box, make sure that the

water temperature is safe (not too hot). Turn the bottom button (right or left) to set the

desired temperature in Celsius. Each shower button on the column has a pictogram

explaining the water jets. Simply turn the button to the right to start. You can use one jet at

the time or all at the same time.


Your bath tub is equipped with massage jets. Fill the bath tub with enough water of desired

temperature to cover all jets. The light on the start button will turn green. Press the start

button for jets to work. After your bath experience, press the start button again to switch off

the jets. Do not leave the jets in continuous use for more than 30 minutes. Do not use any

bath oils in the bath tub. Only the bath salts are allowed, please follow the instructions on

the package.

Bedroom Γ (GAMA)

Before entering the shower box, make sure that the water temperature is safe – not too hot.

Turn the bottom button (right or left) to set the desired temperature in Celsius. Each shower

button on the column has a pictogram explaining the water jets. Simply turn the button to

the right to start. You can use one jet at the time or all at the same time.


Your window has a manual shutter. You can move it up or down, by simply pulling the string

upwards and downwards in slow and regular motion.

Warning! Risk of accident. Please do not use your window for exiting the building except in

case of emergency.

Swimming Pool

Warning! There is no life guard on duty. This is a private villa and unlikely other tourist

accommodations you have the sole responsibility over the safety of swimming pool users.

The swimming pool provides all necessary security and safety equipment. If you are unaware

of their usage please ask our representative for a detailed explanation.

There is a possibility to have a lifeguard on duty. Please ask your concierge for further details

and costs.

Warning! Allow at least 3 hours after a meal before entering the pool.

All children under 16 years of age must be under adult supervision at all times. No glass

objects are allowed around swimming pool area.

Warning! Please note that the floor around the swimming pool is slippery when wet. Do not

run around the swimming pool. Do not jump in the swimming pool or in the whirlpool.

Always use stairs to enter the pool.

We advise our guests not to enter the swimming pool after 21:00 o’clock due to high

concentration of sterilizing chemicals.

Whirlpool

Important! All the swimming pool security rules also apply to usage of the Whirlpool.

You can start the whirlpool jets by pressing the button on the marble surface. Please, do not

forget to switch off the button once you finish your whirlpool experience. Always shower

before entering the swimming pool and whirlpool – body lotions and oils can clog the jets.

Warning! Do not leave the jets in continuous use for more than 30 minutes.

Jacuzzi

The exterior Hot Bath Jacuzzi (Room Alpha) is suitable for up to seven persons. We kindly ask

you to always shower before entering the Jacuzzi. Body oil or lotion might clog the jets.

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE BEFORE ENTERING THE SPA

1. PLEASE ENTER & EXIT THE SPA SLOWLY.

2. ELDERLY PERSONS, PREGNANT WOMEN & THOSE WITH HEALTH CONDITIONS SHOULD

SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE BEFORE ENTERING WHIRLPOOL SPAS.

3. DO NOT USE THE SPA AFTER CONSUMPTION OR USE OF ALCHOHOL, NARCOTICS,

STIMULANTS, ANTI-DEPRESSANTS OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER EATING.

4. PROLONGED USE OF THE SPA MAY RESULT IN NAUSEA, DIZZINESS OR FAINTING

5. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES

The desired water temperature shall be set 3 - 6 hours prior entering the Jacuzzi (depending

on the desired temperature). Optimal hot spa temperature is from 32 – 36 degrees Celsius

depending on the season. In summer it shall be enough 32 degrees Celsius and in winter 36.

Remove the protection cover and press the start button. After you finish your spa

experience, please turn down the temperature to 25 degrees Celsius and replace the

protection cover. The Jacuzzi charge is € 175 per week and it is optional.

Gym

The gym is provided In order to help you keep fit and to continue your usual exercise

routine. We do not recommend you to start a new exercise program. Make sure that you

follow your exercise after a good warm up and do not forget to have a cool down exercises

after you finish your workout.

Please read carefully instructions displayed in the gym area.

It is imperative that you know what exercises you can do. If you are not sure, please omit the

exercise. Always consult your doctor if you have a medical condition.

Attention! Children are strictly prohibited to use the equipment provided. Persons under 16

years of age cannot be left unsupervised in the gym area.

Barbecue and garden area

Please, do not start the BBQ if you do not know how. Only adults can operate the BBQ and

the fire must be under supervision at all times. In case of a fire, please use fire extinguisher.

If you need assistance or in need of any BBQ supply please inform your concierge.

Attention! Never pour water over hot charcoal. Sudden change in temperature can damage

the BBQ. Please leave the charcoal to burn out on its own or transfer the charcoal in a metal

bucket provided and then pour water.

Garden area is safe but children cannot be left unsupervised. The floor at the BBQ area is

slippery when wet. Please, do not run on this surface.

Smoking

All rooms and interior areas are strictly non smoking. If you wish to smoke you can do so in

all exterior areas.

According to the Greek law, taking affect from 1st of September 2010, smoking in interior

areas is penalized by € 100,00

Attention! Dispose lit cigarettes only in ashtrays provided. Danger of fire during the hot and

windy days.

Luggage

We kindly ask you not to place the empty luggage on top of the beds or wardrobes. Please,

store them to the lower ground floor (gym area or garage).

Fire emergency

On each floor are installed sound fire alarms as well as fire extinguishers. You can use them

in case of an emergency. Their misusage will be penalized by € 50,00.

For instructions in case of fire please see chapter “EMERGENCIES” page: 27

Windows

All large windows are equipped with the “Volkswagen” mechanism. To open the window,

move the handle to the right, stop in 90 degrees angle and then continue to press

downwards in 180 degrees angle and then pull the door to the right. If you wish to tilt open,

move the handle to the right and stop in 90 degrees angle.

Windows have electric shutters. To move them up or down, simply turn the button with an

indicated arrow on the left of the window.

Attention! Before you roll the shutters down, make sure there are no obstacles in their way

(for example chairs or table). In case of an obstacle press the same button again to stop the

rolling process and then press the other button to reverse the roller till you remove the

obstacle.

Attention! No children are allowed to operate the electric shutters!

Insect Protective Nets

Important! Bedroom insect protective nets operate on a sensitive spring mechanism! To

open, simply pull out the net and secure on its hooks. When closing do not suddenly release,

instead slowly slide into the pocket.

Alarm System

Although the area is very safe, the villa is protected by a central alarm system controlling all

possible exits, windows & doors. Upon request your concierge will instruct you on how to

use it.

Kitchen

For your convenience we chose the most simple operating electric kitchen appliances. For

any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your concierge.

Important! Please note, that the dishwasher must always have detergent, shiner and salt in

order to operate properly. In case the red light indicator on your dishwasher will appear,

contact your cleaner or concierge.

Attention! Make sure that all appliances are switched off after you finish your cooking and

double check before leaving the villa.

Attention! The oven has a timer which does not switch off the appliance when it is due.

Laundry corner

Pictograms on the washing machine indicate the temperature of the water. You can choose

from two programs the “Easy Cotton” program is faster. Please, do not forget to add anti

scale tablet in each wash.

To dry your clothes in the tumble dryer select the desired time and press start button. After

your clothes are dry, do not forget to clean the filter from any residues (blue plastic filter just

in front of the drum).

If you have any questions, please talk to your cleaner or concierge.

Safe deposit boxes

There are two safe deposit boxes in the villa. One in bedroom B and one in the bedroom Γ.

You will find your safe deposit box open upon your arrival. To lock it, choose any four digit

number code and then press symbol #. On your departure day we will kindly ask you to leave

the safe deposit box open.

In case of a technical problem please contact your concierge.

Damages

Upon your arrival please check the house and report any damage found to your concierge.

You will be asked to pay a security deposit of 500 euro. This helps us to assure that you will

treat the house like your own and that damages will be prevented. In case you cause any

damage, please inform us. You will be charged the original value of the item if needed

replaced or its repair costs.

Internet access

In each bedroom under the TV set you will find a yellow USB cable. This is for internet

connection to your PC. All interior and exterior areas of the villa have WiFi coverage.

The network is encrypted by WPA. The access code is: corfugreece03. At the lower ground

floor (next to the gym) you will find a PC corner which is also connected to the internet and

you can use freely.

Attention! Please do not open dubious files and generally protect the computer from

possible viruses.

For your convenience the telephone system enables direct connection with house rooms as

well as an outside line.

TV CHANNELS

All TV sets receive international satellite channels as well as national and local Greek

channels. Greek channels can be interesting also to our foreign guests due to the fact they

use Greek subtitles instead of dubbing on all foreign programs and movies. Please see below

for the list of channels.

To watch Greek channels, simply turn on your TV remote control and zap through the

programs.

CHARGED OPTIONAL SERVICES

The following services are charged extra. For your convenience, whenever you will use any

of the below services you will be provided with a “purchase form”, which we kindly ask you

to sign and keep the white copy for your reference. At the end of your stay all “purchase

forms” will be invoiced and you will be asked to pay the balance.

Water

Corfiot water is not drinkable.

For your convenience we have supplied the kitchen with a water cooler/heater ready to use.

Upon your arrival you will find a gallon bottle of water on the cooler. Each bottle costs

€ 15,00

If you wish additional bottles please contact your concierge.

Attention! Never leave the cooler on without water in the bottle. Danger of severe damage

Important! The bottle has a security stopper. Do not break through the stopper under any

circumstances. Every broken stopper will be charged by €20,00 (Distributor’s policy).

Wine Cooler

We provide you with a special selection of famous Greek wines, other international spirits

and soft drinks. Upon your arrival check if the contents of the wine cooler correspond to the

list provided. You are free to consume as you wish. Your concierge/cleaner will regularly

check and refill. Every time the cooler will be refilled you will be provided with a “purchase

form”. We kindly ask you to sign it.

If you wish to refill, please contact your concierge at any time.

Cooking services

We provide an excellent chef who will cook for you delicious Greek or international dishes.

The chef is able to cook in the villa’s kitchen or outdoor BBQ.

The desired menu must be pre-discussed with your concierge.

The shopping of ingredients can be arranged by either your party or by us (see “shopping

services” below).

The cooking services can be arranged on daily basis or on several occasions.

A) One meal - dinner or lunch consisting of starter, salad & main course - €150.00

B) Half Day - Breakfast + Lunch or Dinner - €220,00

Shopping services

We can shop anything for you. Simply prepare a shopping list and hand it over to us. The

shopping charge is 20 euro per one shopping. The cost of the actual goods must be paid in

cash upon delivery of receipt.

Food Delivery

For your convenience we chose a number of local taverns who will gladly deliver their meals

to the villa for a charge of 10 euro per order. Restaurants menus can be found in living room

area.

Babysitter

It is possible for us to arrange for you an English speaking babysitter who will take care of

your children in case you wish to take a day trip or even a night out. If you are in need of a

babysitter please inform us as early as possible. The costs will vary depending on hours,

number & age of children.

reservation. You can decide to have the treatment anywhere in the villa by the pool, Jacuzzi,

garden or bedroom.

number of popular excursions and activities that can be organized. Please take some time to

study our trips and if you have some interest at any of them please talk to our

representative.

Private Grand Island Tour by minibus

A tour to Corfu highlights, the most beautiful and important spots of the island. The tour is

executed in luxurious coach with air-conditioning and there will be a professional licensed

local tour guide.

PROGRAM:

1. Achillion Palace – it is a palace built by Queen Sissy of Austria at the end of the 19th

century. The palace is built in neo-classical style and has elements of Ionian, Roman and

Aeolitic styles. Its gardens are decorated by many sculptures and have stunning views on the

island. What makes this building unique and a must to visit is the added elements of ancient

Greek mythology’s perception through the western culture. Sissy, was obsessed with the

story of Achilles to whom she dedicated the palace.

2. Liquor factory “Mavromatis” – where liquor and brandy are made from kumquat fruit.

Taste the liquor and brandy, see 5 minutes long documentary about the process of

production of this liquor, or buy some for your family and friends as a souvenir from Corfu.

3. Paleokastritsa – it is considered the most beautiful natural landscape on the island. You

can swim and admire five pine-clad promontories and small bays of yellow sand, or white

pebbles, shelving into crystal clear waters. Fine tavernas are ready to satisfy your hunger

with delicious food. Monastery of Blessed Virgin Mary – tour around the monastery – a small

museum of icons from 19th Century, Old Byzantine Church and a small souvenir shop selling

home-made products such as olive oil produced by monks themselves.

5. Bella Vista – famous lookout on Corfu Island, Mainland Greece and Albania. Stunning

views, you must take pictures of.

6. Corfu Town – guided walk through the center of the Town. You will see Old Fortress, New

Fortress, Liston, Palace and the architecture of the old town as well as the most important

church in Corfu – Church of St. Spyridon – Patron Saint of the island.

This tour is private. It can be organized on any day of the week and the program of the tour can be

tailor-made according to your needs. The a/c vehicle, driver and the professional licensed guide will

be at your disposal at all times. Although the above program is suggested you can adjust it to your

needs since it is completely flexible.

We organize this tour for the following categories of groups:

Corfu Town Shopping + Kalypso Star Boat Show

Kalypso Star is a specially constructed boat for undersea cruises. With its 18m length and 5.5m width, it can comfortably accommodate 50 passengers. With its large windows it gives to everybody the opportunity to explore and enjoy the fascinating and intricate world beneath the sea, with the endless variety of fish and plants. Experienced divers, surrounded by fish, swim among them feeding them and showing you some of the strangest forms of marine life. Then the sea lions with their trainers perform a unique show. You will see them swimming, diving, jumping and playing around. On the way back you can enjoy the scenery of the Old town with its two fortresses as it appears from the sea. The show lasts 60 minutes. After 1 hour show with Calypso Star boat, you have 4 hours to explore the old town. You can sightsee have dinner or shop in the many of small local shops. Corfu is famous for its art in silver & gold jewelry.

The Bus departs and returns at Messonghi centre. Pre-reservation is needed.

BOAT CRUISES Cruise to Mainland Greece Giant Sea Cave and Blue Lagoon Beach with Lunch

It is a cruise to the opposite coast of Mainland Greece aboard a traditional Corfiot boat

‘kaiki’ (max. capacity 40 persons).

The first stop is in the giant sea cave called Mourtos where during the Second World War

Greek naval battle ships hid under the lighthouse.

The second stop is at Sivota village. It is a beautiful old fishing village at Mainland Greece.

Enjoy a walk among old streets and buy leather and gold in dozens of small shops. Or simply

relax with a coffee break in one of the coffee shops located in the harbor.

The sailing continues and the next stop is long awaited Blue Lagoon beach. Jump directly

from the boat and swim in crystal clear blue waters. Romantic swimming and admiring of the

nature will be ended by nice lunch prepared by captain himself. Wine, Greek salad, feta

cheese, chicken, tuna fish, tzatziki and freshly baked bread will give you enough energy to

continue in our sail.

The next stop is at Sand banks. It is a place where used to be a sea salt factory and now there

is a natural large shallow platform created in the sea. Surprisingly warm waters with high

concentration of sea salt are the best spa experience. The last but not least stop is in Petriti

village – one of the oldest fishing villages in Corfu Island. You have to try fish or seafood that

is always fresh and perfectly prepared.

Nothing can beat a private tour especially when it is on a boat. Complete flexibility and

relaxation. No waiting in queues just relaxing under the sun.

A) Boat trip to Vidos island, Mouse island and Mon Repo Palace

Starting at Corfu Town’s port we will sail toward Vidos Island – beautiful non

palace which used to belong to Greek Royal family – a birthplace of Prince Philip

husband of Queen Elizabeth II. At this stop you can either visit the Mon Repo Palace

Albania Adventure

It is one full day tour (starts at 7.45 and finishes at about 20.30 o ‘clock). The bus will transfer

you to Corfu Town’s port where you will pass through passport control.

Getting aboard the ferry to Albania. There you will be charged €9,00 *port taxes (per

person). When you get in the Albanian port “Agia Saranda” you will go again through

passport control.

There you will be given a choice to either stay in this port’s town or you can buy another

optional excursion to Butrinti (€20,00* per adult person (children half price) including bus

transfer, guiding and lunch). Butrinti is an old historical Roman town in ruins which are very

well preserved. It is sight included to Unesco world inheritance. The bus departs almost

immediately from Agia Saranda and it takes one and a half hour to get to Butrinti. The

guiding in the Butrinti town lasts one hour, after the tour you will visit traditional Albanian

restaurant where you will have buffet lunch and after lunch you will return to Agia Saranda

town where you will have plenty of time for shopping.

Mountain Biking

Cycling tour : "THE OLIVE GROVES AND MEDIEVAL VILLAGES OF CORFU" Transfer by coach to the bike station, then cycling. Medium difficulty tour MOUNTAINBIKING is an unique new way to explore the hidden and unspoiled parts of the green Corfiot countryside. You will cycle under the cool shade of the island's ageless olive groves on country roads and trails passing through some unknown and hidden yet most picturesque and traditional villages. From the villa you will be taken to Dassia resort (40 minutes drive), where you will select your MB and receive all necessary road instructions together with bottled water and helmet. Accompanied by your experienced local guides we start easy cycling along the beautiful Ionian Sea, leave the coastal road, and enter immediately Corfu's green hinterland. After an approx. 20 minutes climb – (your today’s work-out) along impressive ancient olive groves we reach the medieval village of San Marcos where you will see Venetian hamlet with carefully restored Venetian mansions and chapel dating to Byzantine times. The climb will reward us with stunning views from the bell tower of the green inner plains of the island and even until the port of Corfu town which are stretched below us. We continue to one of Corfu's most picturesque medieval villages: Ano Korakiana. We visit the old mini market and stroll through the narrow paved alleys and tunnels with numerous Venetian mansions, inhaling the typical village atmosphere from far-off times. Now we are cycling along olive groves and vineyards and reach the pretty taverna near Kato Korakiana, where at the terrace awaits for us an excellent fruit buffet with a rich selection of seasonal fruits and a selection of fresh juices. Full of impressions we cycle slowly downhill with fabulous sea views, through the village and along the Venetian "Castello", back to the MTB station in Dassia, where your transfer awaits you to bring you back to the villa.

Round trip starts easy along the sea, then moderate cycling, including one work-out (slow climb of 3km's) followed by cycling through light undulating landscape, and after refreshments a slow downhill with fabulous views. Total distance covered is 21,8 km.

Participants must be 12 years and older! Tours are suitable for guests in a healthy physical 'cycle'-condition and basic cycling proficiency is required.

There is NO contest involved, this is not a competitive but relaxing and socializing event. The pace of the tour depends on the participants. Please note that the group must be together at all times and individual pace goals must be put aside.

The right to change itineraries, due to unforeseen circumstances, is reserved! All our professional instructors are fully qualified, licensed and experienced. Horse trekking

(Beginners and experienced). (09.30 - 13.00 or 16.30 - 19.30) Half Day Tour

Program:

1. After arriving at the stables, you are introduced to the horses, dogs and cats. Our horses

are suitable for beginners because of their quiet nature and good manners, but also spirited

enough for the more advanced. Please, state the experience when booking if more than a

gentle trek is expected.

2. The horse riding on dirt tracks will allow us unhindered through the lovely Corfiot

countryside. Hundreds of olive trees provide ample shade even in the mid-day sun. We will

ride through olive woods and also we will pass through old Corfiot village – Ano Korakiana.

Narrow stony streets and small houses will bring you back few centuries. The horse trekking

will take one and a half to two hours depending on your condition and level of experience.

3. Cold drinks will be served at the stables after the ride, allowing you to see how much care

is taken to keep the horses in perfect condition. After every ride they are untracked,

showered and fed. You are welcome to bring and feed them with carrots, apples or other

healthy treats.



Scuba Diving

For all divers (beginners, intermediate and experienced). (09.00 - 14.00) Half Day Tour

Program:

1. We will transfer you to Paleokastritsa resort which it considered to be the best for diving

in Corfu.

2.Upon your arrival in the diving school you will be introduced to your instructor, change to

your wet suit and obtain all necessary equipment. The dive will take about 1 hour and a half

and it all depends on your level of experience.

3. Diving in Paleokastritsa - we dive around a long Rock said to be Ulysses’ ship turned to stone. The dive is usually around the north and the west side of the rock. A cave with three entrances is home to small groups of morays and the top of the cave is decorated with a carpet of small anemones. Various kinds of nudibranche can be seen at this site. Diving in Paleokastritsa is the best example of undersea world of Ionian Sea.

Kite Surfing

The school of Kite-Club-Korfu (KCK) is placed in the south-west of the island, in a region called "Chalikounas". The sandy beach is several kilometers long and wind conditions are ideal for teaching and kiting. We have a nice standing area near the coast, which makes the first flying exercises with the kite and the following tries of the waterstart a lot easier.

Waters are getting deeper gradually, fact which guarantees safety for learners.

The Kite-Club-Corfu is a licensed water sport-station of the VDWS and works with the latest safety standards. Well educated instructors and rescue boats are minimum standards for KCK.

Most important Museums on Corfu Island

The Archeological Museum

The entire ancient finds of the island, mostly of the archaic period, are kept in the New Museum overlooking the Bay of Garitsa. The most impressive exhibit is the west pediment of the Doric Temple of Artemis dating from 590-580 B.C.; it is one of the largest surviving sculptural groups of its kind in Greece and dominates the main hall. Other interesting exhibits include the sixth century funerary capital of Xemvares, in the anteroom, which bears an Archaic Corinthian inscription. Also worthy of note in the anteroom is the ‘boustrophedon’ inscription, forming an epigram in Homeric hexameters and dating from the early sixth century B.C., on a vertical stele. In the North room are also exhibited two small archaic masterpieces. One of these is the head of a Kouros by a Corinthian sculptor; it dates from about 535-530 B.C. The other exhibit, a sixth century bronze statuette. In the courtyard behind the Museum stands gigantic Doric capital resting on a column drum, from the temple of Artemis. The Museum of Asian Art

A rich and highly interesting collection of objects d’art, mostly Chinese and Japanese, is on display on the first floor of the Palace of St. Michael and St. George. This collection was presented to the Greek Government in 1928 and consists of 10.000 items. The collection includes some beautiful bronze wares of the Chou (1027-256 B.C.) and Han (206 B.C.- 220 A.D.) dynasties. The classical period of Chinese art is represented by a great variety of porcelain of Sung (960-1276), Ming (1368-1644) and Ch’ing (1644-1912) dynasties. The Japanese collection contains much more porcelain ware, wooden masks of the “No” theatre, suits of Samurai armor, Utamaro wood-cuts, beautiful eighteenth century silk and rice paper Kakemonos, and books illustrated with prints. The collection has been recently enriched by a donation, comprising four hundred and fifty interesting items from Japan, India, Nepal, Tibet, Thailand and Korea. The Byzantine Museum of Corfu ‘Antivouniotissa’

This museum is one of the most significantmuseums of icons in Greece. It is housed in the

Church of the Blessed Virgin Antivouniotissa where a wide flight of steps leads up from

Arseniu Street. The church has been entrusted to the Greek state by the owners, along with

its numerous icons, frescoes and paintings and rich collection of silver which carried out

extensive restoration and redecoration in preparation for the New Museum. The church is a

single-nave basilica surrounded by a narthex on three sides, which constitutes a unique

feature of Church architecture in Corfu. Several silver lamps hang from the ceiling, which is

divided into richly decorated caissons.
