Ultraportable IP transmission for instant mobile live broadcasting

The Satmission Live NowTM IP Backpack enables a single person with a camera to stream live footage directly to the Internet, to a midway production unit (such as a car equipped with an IP Vehicle Kit), or directly to a studio or station control room.

The IP Backpack supports adaptive bitrate and 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and LAN/WAN network bonding for uninterrupted live streaming. With built-in two-way communication, both reporter and the person holding the camera can communicate in real time with the studio. Footage can be stored on harddrive for redundancy and reference.

The IP Backpack can be easily configured using the built-in display, or remotely via web interface (which also allows for upgrading the IP Backpack software). Broadcast configuration profiles can be stored and recalled when needed.

Camera and audio setupCamera equiment is to be connected via the SDI port (video and audio). Additional video signal (presentations, images or prerecorded videos) from a computer can be connected via the HDMI port.

Raw footage storage

Footage in high-quality can be stored on harddrive for redundancy and reference, by connecting a hard disk drive to the USB-port on the Encoder. The recorded material can be used for on-demand video or be copied to e.g. a media server.Automatic file sync using FTP. This option provides a feature for synchronising recorded files to a FTP server. When a new file is ready on the IP Encoder or IP Router and live streaming has stopped, it automatically uploads the file.
