Some popular examples

So far I haven’t been able to find anApp that allows the user to actually Make their own tea to their own Personal taste. Although I have found Apps that actually allow the user to Choose what type of tea they want And a few other options. These do Not allow the user to make their own Tea. The nearest I got to a good App was One that allows the user to enter allThe names of those in their office and When it comes to making a round of Tea the App chooses at random.

There are many possibilities for this: It should allow the user to choose what type of tea they want, how much milk they want, how many sugars they want.Although the method of how the tea is made may also be an option, if for example they want it made in a tea pot rather than a electric kettle.Perhaps my App could be virtual and allow the user to pour the kettle by tilting the iPad, put in the tea bag, pour the milk in, put in the sugar etc…

It should have symbols for each type of tea.

Perhaps touch controls could be applied to control the amount of milk and sugar wanted.

It should have a calm and relaxed look and resemble a modern interface.

It should look like the real life experience of making tea.

This is a few concepts of icons I designed as I thought it would be appropriate to learn Some illustrator techniques.

Page 11: iPad App Presentation

This is a screenshot of my iPad with my icon designs photo shopped on so I can get an idea of what they might look like on the device. I did the icons in illustrator so they are full vector images.

As I was researching the iPad andIt’s functionality I found this idea Of a docking station for arcade Games on the iPad.I thought that maybe the same Theory could be adapted to my App. Perhaps the tea machine Could have a docking stationAnd could be totally controlled By the iPad. The App would Have all the information neededTo allow the machine to make theTea.

The iPad seems to be an item forLeisure and is more a luxury thana necessity. Although it can be Used for such a wide variety of Media. One of which being the App world which is growing by Thousands every week. My target is to design an App that will interest the iPad user.
