iPad basics

• iPads can be booked via the Ultranet and classes can book either 5 (1 tub)

or 10 (2 tubs).

• iPads booked during the day should be delivered to/picked up by the next person who has them booked – this can be negotiated as required. At the end of the day, iPads should be returned to Natalie as soon as possible so they can be charged and locked away overnight. Teachers please do not plug the iPads in – Natalie will take care of ensuring they are charged.

• Prior to returning the iPads, you should ensure all content is either saved or deleted, including photos and videos. If you need assistance to download content created on the iPad, please see Gill. Students should be encouraged to take responsibility for deleting their own content which is no longer needed.

• iPads should be left on at all times, including when you have finished and

are returning them. If you are having difficulty connecting other wireless devices due to overload on the network, the wireless connection can be turned off on the iPads.

• Any damage to iPads needs to be reported as soon as they are returned to

either Natalie or Gill.

• In app purchases are blocked for all apps on the main settings but you need to be aware of apps which have these as students may be able to sign in with their own iTunes accounts to access such facilities.

• Facebook and Youtube sharing options are available in many of the apps – again, these have been blocked at a higher level and should not be able to be accessed but you should be aware of their presence.

• iPads are not to be booked for classes where a CRT is in charge.
