Unsafe handling of large heavy loads in the work place can often result in dangerous and even life threatening situations. Turning such loads with out specialist equipment may also cause damage to cranes and expensive manufactured components.

The specially developed ROTOMAX® load turning machine can solve the problem of turning loads in a controlled way. Most loads will turn smoothly up to 360 degrees and can be stopped at any position desired, for the next stage of production or welding needs.

The standard “COMPACT” models are suitable for load capacities of 1,000 to 60,000 Kg with fixed belt centres. Special “VARIO” models are made with adjustable belt centres and are available for load capacities of 1,000 to 150,000 Kg.

Standard PES belts with or without PU coating are normally used for capacities up to 20 tons. Chains or steel woven PU covered belts and magnetic edge protectors to cover sharp edges are also available for all models.

Vetter is a leading European supplier of slewing jib cranes and crane systems. The family-owned business operates state-of-the-art facilities from Siegen-Eiserfeldtheir in Germany.

The company was founded in 1889 as Arnold Vetter KG factory for iron structures and was initially limited to the manufacture of conveyor baskets, mine cars and derricks for the mining industry. To date, the product range has expanded considerably, including load turning devices and forks for the forklift industry.

Since 2004 Vetter and RS Industrial Services have been working together to succesfully deliver the ROTOMAX load turning system to businesses accross the UK.

The partnership has gone from strength to strength, and with RS Industrial Services named as the sole distributor for the whole of the UK this looks set to continue for many years to come.

Another advantage of ROTOMAX® is in its portability within the factory. The load turning machine can be transported by any suitable overhead crane directly to the place of use, where the load can be turned safely. With every enquiry received, we would normally require a sketch or drawing of the load/loads to be turned, so that our CAD programme can simulate the turning process, we will then offer a tailored quotation for your needs. All ROTOMAX® machines are designed for easy use and are produced and conform to UVV, VDE and European lifting regulation.

Polyester fabric beltsSuitable forstandard applications.

Our inexpensive polyester fabric belts are designed for standard applications with load turning devices and are manufactured in accordance with DIN 61360. These belts are dimensionally stabilized especially for this purpose and are impregnated (yellow shade). They are equipped with 2 end loops and 2 intermediate loops.

Endless belts are also available. The belts are flexible, pliant, lightweight and ideal for handling goods with sensitive surfaces. Edge protectors must be included in the shipment if sharp-edged loads are to be handled.

Polyester fabric belts with anadditional polyurethane coatingfor medium-duty application.

These hoisting belts are also made of polyesterin accordance with DIN 61360 and are equipped with 2 intermediate loops. In addition, these belts have a polyurethane coating on one side, which protects them from damage and adds substantially to their service life.

The advantages of the polyurethane coating are: wear resistance, slip resistance, transparency and relative resistance to cuts.

Despite the polyurethane coating, it is advisable to use edge protectors when handling loads with very sharp edges.

Steel wire mesh beltsSuitable forheavy-duty applications.

These flat-cable hoisting belts are made of in-terwoven steel wire and embedded in an all round polurethane coating. They are designed for heavy-duty applications and are equipped with a belt lock. They are also available as endless belts.

These belts are used for handling heavy loadsweighing 25t or more. They are durable, transparent,slip resistant, wear resistant, indifferent to light and heat, and exceptionally resistant to cuts. In this case too, it is advisable to use magnetic edge protectors when handling loads with very sharp edges.
