ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES

Guided Access (Learning)

• Can make an iOS device stay on one app by disabling the home button, and even restrict touch input on certain areas of the screen, so wandering taps and gestures won’t distract from learning.

Assistive Touch (Physical and Motor)

• Adds a small white button to the screen

• Almost any action can be done with a single contact point on the screen

Voice Over (Vision)

• For Low Vision or Vision Impaired users.

• Navigate the iPad without having to see the screen– Swipe to navigate– Double tap to select– Three finger swipe to scroll

• Voice Over practice lets you learn the gestures and what they do

• Supports Bluetooth Braille displays

Siri or Dictation (Learning, Vision, Hearing)

Useful if child can’t type. All they need to do is ask or tap Microphone Button.

Siri is integrated with VoiceOver — an advanced screen reader — so blind and low-vision students can ask a question and hear the answer read out loud.

Triple Click Home

Three rapid presses of the home button can bring up a quick access menu to toggle Accessibility Options.

Speak Selection (Vision)

Allows you to select text

and have the text read

aloud with a digitized

voice

White on Black/Invert Colors (Vision)

Greatly increases the color contrast on the display by inverting the colors.
